Right, so, been doing this for about a couple of weeks. All going fairly well. No problem with the calories. However, it would appear I have my macros wrong!!!!!! I've been doing 40% protein instead of 40% carbs!!! It has been quite hard to get all the protein in (funny that eh!!). However, would this be problematic having protein so high? Just out of interest. However, as of tomorrow, I think I'll change the macros to 40 carbs, 30 a piece fats/protein... Does anyone else use different macros?

Unless you have a liver issue that makes dealing with that much protein, there is no health issue.
After a certain level there is no more benefit as far as retaining muscle mass, just how it may effect your personal saity, so it's just expensive calories.
And when eating more, may not need the fullness aspect, but some do like it.

Mine's 50/25/25, that gives me the 1 gram protein per lb of LBM at current eating levels. Though I usually just confirm I hit the protein gram goal, and calorie goal, and not worry about the rest.
  • Thanks for the reply. I agree with the expense!! I think 40 carbs will be much better. Lol
