Hi, I just joined MFP and the low carb group this morning.
A little about myself...I've struggled with my weight for the last 15 years. I have very high levels of insulin, which make it very easy to put on fat and very difficult to get rid of it. I have tried exercising more, counting calories, HCG, weight watchers…nothing seemed to make much of a difference until I found Keto!
I started reading about different ways of eating and I am convinced that the ketogenic lifestyle is by far the healthiest way of eating for EVERYONE but especially those that struggle with insulin resistance/blood sugar issues. Its just tough to stay on it in a world where you are bombarded with "healthy" whole grains and low fat options.
I've had good results with keto in the past but always end up falling off the wagon![:( :(](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
I'm hoping that by being part of a group and using MFP, will help me stay on track this time!

Welcome. There are a couple of Keto groups on MFP that are very supportive and informative. Here is a new group just started: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/103001-3-month-keto-challenge

Welcome! I love the Keto lifestyle!! Did it for 6 months and then I fell off during the holidays. Put on 10 lbs in 4 weeks but I ate like a pig
On Keto, I feel like a normal person... no binging, no hunger. So I'm back it again, 14 days in as of today. Going to start lifting again, too.
