We don't have Indian (or any other!) takeaways where I live and I love Indian food, so its diy when I can find the spices etc. My favourites when I was in UK were dhal, tandoori chicken and chapattis.0

last night. poppadom, chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, beef jalfrezi, ocra, peshwari naam and a cosmo! NOT getting on scales this morning and going for long dog walk. yumma though.0

Not into take away, but my sister cooks authentic Indian food for me once in while. On the menu are usually ...
Naan
carrot/peanut raita
Cucumber /tomato raita
Dal
Green bean / chickpea dish
Curry with shrimp
And a curry with chicken thighs
I'm the chopper...she's the cook0 -
am coveting your sister.0

lulu - my cousin spent several months in a charity project in India. He died and went to heaven (figuratively speaking), when we invited him to eat with us. He said it was the most authentic Indian, outside of India, he's ever tasted. I can't judge that, but I can say it is scrumptious. If you are ever in Switzerland......0

Love Indian! My favorite cuisine. It's usually lamb biryani and naan for us when we go.0

My husband makes amazing Indian food - it takes forever!
- last night, however, it was all about the take out!
I had tarka daal, tandoori roti (instead of naan - really yummy!), Saag balti and chicken bhuna. And you know when a takeaway is really disappointing? This wasn't!!!0 -
We've agreed to have a Chinese takeaway tonight - there's a new one just opened and the menu looks interesting. Plus it's Chinese New Year! They have some Japanese dishes like terriyaki too, might try that.0

I'm with you, I love Chinese & Japanese food, but rarely if ever have takeaway as prefer to go for it and eat in Restaurant or cook my own. Japanese is so easy to do at home and mostly really healthy, only trouble is OH prefers a curry, typical eh?0 -
veggie korma, dhal, naan, saag0

Normally have tikka masala, sag aloo and peshwari naan. Luckily all the family loves Indian so it is a good choice. Haven't had chinese in a long time as I find it very greasy now.0

aloo tikka chaat!

I'll be on the next flight out and beating Bea's door down...0 -
Oh, and referring to the OP, my favourite, "don't-worry-about-the-consequences" menu would be:
Onion Bhaji
Chicken Dhansak
Mutter Paneer
Spoonful of rice
Peshwari Naan
Mmmmm....

Yay, Twelvesticks is here!! A win in my book!
You should have heard of it. I think, I've even posted some food porn on the fb page ;-) As I said to lulu....if ever in Switzerland.....
However, she cooked Indian last Sunday, and told me nothing about it until after the fact Next time!0
