Struggling to get back on track after a three week upper respiratory infection, no exercise, and two pound weight gain. Any motivation and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. I won't give up now, I'm half way there

You are closer than you think just by recognizing that you need to get back on track. Being sick is just one of those things that we have to deal with during this process 'real life' as I refer to it. I suggest taking your time and working back to where you were in regards to your working out. Walking maybe in short time frames so as to not over exert yourself or walking slow and building up speed. Keep up the good work and the great mindset.

Unfortunately, life happens, and that includes illnesses at times. The important thing is that you're feeling better and ready to get back on track.

I like Adc7225's advice about getting back into it slowly with the exercise. Along with that, I would begin eating more fruits and veggies and drinking plenty of water. Since you're halfway at your goal, you have a general idea of what you need to do. I'll say it like Nike. Just Do It!!!! :)

    Wishing you much success.

    (((Hugs)))

I suggest just making an exercise and diet plan and sticking to it.
