I was coming to post this! I squeeled too! Sad about Andrew Garfield but to be honest, he was too old for the role IMO.0

Glad to hear this news, but even more happy to hear there's no more Andrew Garfield!0

I had mixed feelings. I'm super excited he will finally be included, but Buzzfeed reported that it WILL be Andrew Garfield in the role and I'm not really a big fan of him as Spider-man. If it's true he's not, I'm actually way more excited. It's unfortunate, but I feel Spidey needs another fresh start.....again.0

From all I heard it been official that andrew is out. Plus I heard they are revamping spidey again with collaboration from marvel and the sinister six movie been put on hold0

Time to start a "Kirk vs. Picard"-style geek war:
...
Peter Parker or Miles Morales?
...
The former is way more familiar, but the latter would make recasting easier.
Personally, I vote for MM because Marvel Cinematic Universe is closer to the Marvel Ultimate Universe (e.g. Nick Fury is a Black guy) than the Marvel Mainstream Universe.

I think it would be cool to see mm on the big screen but I doubt they go way. To many people would flip a freaking lid. When they announced that pete died and was going to get replaced by mm people went crazy. plus there is a black nick fury in the the main line. Spidey is my all time favorite hero.0

I'm down for Miles on this one! Unfortunately our generation has seen Peter Parkers origin story (unfortunately kinda fail) on the big screen too many times recently. I think people may be growing tired of it. Miles would be a fresh take on Spidey for a while. And yes, the diversity would be welcome.0 -
Wouldn't have thought it would be Miles, as one of the big reasons they've got him in is for Civil War and Peter Parker is a big part of that!0
