Emotional eating - HELP!

Hello fellow Emotional Eaters...
So today was supposed to be a fd. BAD BAD BAD time of the month - pains, mad head, heavy stomach - coupled with my son being home ill from school.
I've given up. Yummy belly pork casserole with peppers and potatoes. And (of course - I am me) lots of wine. And almonds. And an avocado. and---and---and---
So it's too late to stop me, and I am not believing I'm a failure (5:2 doesn't allow for that!) but I'm just putting my disaster day out there.
I know I shouldn't, but I'm also not tracking.
Sorry girls!

It happens to the best of us. No worries, just fast another day or take a few days 'off' and jump back in next week.0

What are you sorry about? You're only human. Plus that pork belly casserole sounds bleeping awesome! Chin up my friend and keep moving forward. We all love you and are here for your support0

Give yourself some time to discover what was underneath the emotional eating, see what you can discover to help you the next time, then start fresh. No need to apologize. This is a learning process for us all on what works for us and what doesn't. And the missteps of today do not have the right to change your future.0

The great thing about 5:2 is that you can have those days if you need them. Just get back into it tomorrow. Try not to feel guilty (we wouldn't be here if food wasn't a complex emotional issue) and carry on tomorrow. That pork belly sounds lovely and almonds and avocado are good for you x0

and then there was the toffee crisp and the bowl full of chorizo and the rest of the bottle of wine. And then the left-over turkey...
I think I can safely call last night a binge. And I'm going out for a meal tonight with work!
Thanks for all your messages - I haven't given up, I completely agree with everything you have said - back on it when I'm ready (that'll be Monday) and no worries or guilt.
Thanks everyone.0 -

casserole and toffee crisp sound delish. but that's only a day - you have weeks to make up for it . hope your boy feels better soon!0
