Hey everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a few Daysh. Basically, I just burned out. Hubby is working and going to school...and has been for roughly four years. He's not a natural student so every class has been a struggle for him. This week it got really bad and, as usual, I've been doing everything else on my own. All the kids stuff, all the house stuff, all the yard stuff. Plus I've started watching a friends 1.5 year old every week day. So my kids have been having that wonky behavior that comes from adjusting to a new big change like that. I went into Friday and Saturday already tired and hubby was unbelievably ornery (which is very rare). I managed to get through it without being irritable back, and he's been feeling super bad about it all weekend. Add that to getting absolutely zilch from him on Valentine's day, and having bad reports about my oldest in school because she's lives in her own little world sometimes, and I just hid a lot this weekend. Hubby still feels really bad about it all, and I'm not mad at him but I'm just tired. He's taking a few months off after this week to regenerate a bit. He only has 16 weeks left in his program, so we're near the end but it has been a long haul! I did get all my workout in still, but it was really tough to get out of bed this morning.

Donna - I just got a fitbit charge HR about a week ago and I love it! Laura is great, so hit her up with any questions you have!

Sherry - glad my comment was helpful in encouraging you! I'm also glad to see your hubby is still going to the gym, and that you figured out your HR!

Marla - That makes sense as to why your moving. It sounds like this new place will work better for both of you! Hopefully this will be the last move for you!

val, no one can be strong forever. If you keep burning it at both ends, eventually you get burnt out. The best thing is just to know when to step back and take care of yourself and it sounds like you're doing that and that's great. One day, thes tough times will be a distant memory and you'll be dealing with a whole new set of challenges. C'est la vie.

Today I was packed to go to the gym, when the sun came out and DH informed it was going to return to cold for the next few days, so naturally I went for a run instead of the gym. I don't regret it. It was good. My recovery tool on my watch told me yesterday about 45 hours, but last time it said that I ignored it and it told me the next day I was good. Today, in the first few minutes it told me my recovery was "fair", but at the end of the run it gave me 24 hours. Sweeeeeet! So I guess today's run was a perfect recovery run. It certainly felt like it. Anyway, gonna shoot for the gym tomorrow.

    Have a good one all!

Val, sending cyber hugs. Hope this week is better than last week!

I'm excited to hear how well your running is going Sherry! You had such a long stretch with pain that I'm happy your body is cooperating with you. Sounds like the HR training is really going well too.

Saturday I did make it to the gym for my workout - 1.5 miles on the elliptical, 2.5 miles on the treadmill (run 1, walk .25, run 1, walk .25), then repeat (1.5/2.5). Took an hour & 45 minutes total, including the time transitioning between the machines, and then I stretched after that. I started the timer on my Fitbit at 8:02 pm and it was 10:00 before I got out of there.

Sunday I took off. My shoulders were sore, my legs were sore, and I was exhausted. Basically I felt like I had been beat up. I had a lot to do around the house anyway (cleaning, laundry) since I was gone most of Saturday. I also got in a really solid nap.

Did W7D1 of C25K today, which on this program was my first 20 minute run. My prior app that was W5D3. Then I had my workout with Jason.

Still really tired today so am going to crawl into bed early tonight.
