5 feet tall progress with pics

I am so inspired by all the befores and afters of larger folks, folks who have much more than I to lose. Also you are taller and the progress you make is so very clear. But, I have to admit, I want to see more from people like me - shorter and losing less but just as significant a challenge. I expect that many of you who are close to my height and weight would want the same. So, here I am posting my befores and "during"! I am definitely still a work in progress but I can see my progress.
While on MFP I have learned a lot - THANK YOU MFP family - you are fabulous!:
1 - The scale does NOT dictate progress - my before shot I am 119, my during shot I am 117 - just a 2 pound difference
2 - Inches DO dictate - I have lost 5 inches overall but that still does not explain the difference fully
3 - The combo of cardio and strength training works wonders - even though weight is dictated 95% of what we weigh it is FITNESS that helps show off the progress.
3 - Track body fat % - mine went from 23% to 20.1%. I use http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/
5 - Take pictures all along the way. What you see in the mirror day-to-day is seen through your own filters - your own eyes. On the other hand, the camera does not lie and will help you to see the truth.
Again, I know I am not at goal but am sharing progress for those who, like me, find it hard to see progress on our small frames.

This is so great!! I think it's really important to take pictures! It's so much better for inspiration than seeing numbers drop.
Well done you!!0 -
You are right, how very little the numbers equate to the results. Thanks for posting!:flowerforyou:0

Wow there is a huge difference. This is an old thread, so I hope you are continuing to do as well!!0

I'm 53 years old and 5'1' (on a good day!). When I was 20, I was in my 120's, 30 in my 130's, 40 in my 140's. Now I'm 50 and struggling to stay below 150! (I even got to 160 and that's when I said enough already!). Anybody in this predicament? If so please add me. Thanks!
