So of course we all want to lose weight to live happy, healthy lives, but what are the things you're looking forward to doing/wearing/what have you when you get to your goal? For me I've always wanted to wear high heels without being in excruciating pain. Also, being able to ride on roller coasters without worrying if I'll fit in the seats. And being able to hold my nephew on my lap. As of now I don't have a lap, lol!

I want to shop in regular stores also... for me wearing a "normal" size pair of jeans and go horse back riding with my daughter will be AWESOME!!! Right now I feel like I'd break the horses back so I just sit back and "watch"...well NO MORE...I want to DO!!

Smartypants & Cindy I'm definitely with you on being able to shop at "normal" stores. Just being able to choose what you want to buy based on what you like, not what fits you. What an awesome feeling that will be!

I can't wait until the day I walk into a store and not look for their plus size section, IF they have one.

Wearing heels, right now I can't even wear a 2"

    Tucking my shirt in!

Being able to look down and see everything.

I too want to shop in normal size stores not plus size. Heck I want to find clothes at thrift stores too. They almost never have plus sized thrift store clothes.

I want to see my feet. Heck I just want to be able to tie my own shoe. My gf has to tie my shoes and put on my socks. Part of that is due to a hip injury due to a car accident years ago. Other part due to chronic pain and slipped disks that will never heal said my Doctor and chronic inside right thigh pulled groin muscle. It's been a year with the groin pull and still not healed.

I don't ever want to worry about fitting on an airplane again, seating at a restaurant or a ride at an amusement park.

It's very hard when your in bed and weigh 317 lbs to turn over. I wake up every hour or two just to turn over. I want to forever say goodbye to my CPAP machine that I have to use every single night so I can breath.

I want to be able to walk further than to my mailbox and back.

I'm tired of my gf always having to be concerned if we go anywhere about if there is seating because I cannot stand for longer than 10 min at a time.

I want to be looked at as another human being and not just a fat blob. People can be cruel. I'm tired of people ignoring me or not taking what I have to say as important. I get this ALL the time. My gf is slim but she has a belly to lose. People always say hi and bye to her and hold a conversation but they totally ignore me and I'm not a shy person. I've had this with other people as well not just when I'm with my gf. It's as if they look at you as you're invisible or because you're fat you don't have anything important to say. This really bugs the heck out of me.

I want to be able to walk my dog and not have to use my electric wheel chair.

I could go on and in but those are a few.

Karen krayon thanks for posting. You are not alone in this. It's hard to live with discrimination but know that you are valued here. It sounds like your gf is a really great person too and how great that she has you in her life.

I have faced some of the same medical challenges you describe and I do want to share that it can get better. It is a long journey but our bodies have an amazing capacity to heal. Make positive small steps towards health and they will add up!!

Karen, I'm right there with you on the airplane seat. When my boyfriend and I went to Mexico last year i had to ask for the seatbelt extender & it was so humiliating. People don't tend to ignore me because I'm kind of a loud & outgoing person, but I can feel them judging me.

Barvolo I Agree with you, small steps! My boyfriend & I have a hard time walking for long distances because we're both so out of shape, we're lucky that we could join a local gym with a pool, which helps a lot with the mobility issues.

Thanks everyone. What a great group. Together we will do this. Yes my gf is a great support and while she only has a pudgy tummy to lose she lost 2 lbs on out weigh in and I was so proud of her. Her nic on here is Staceems if anyone wishes to friend her.

I've been dieting off n on for years and kept failing. I couldn't understand why but now I know I was restricting calories too aggressively. Slow losses for me is my win.

Hey Karen, you most certainly have joined the right team for motivation and together we will all get there and reach our goals!

I love the big and small reasons that we all have for wanting to succeed and it is also great to see everyone's progress and commitment to themselves, even when we don't reach a particular step. We learn from it and move on. What amazing support you have from your girlfriend too, you at both very blessed.

Hiya Noodle, Mysticlizar, barlovo and MdwstQT! Keep on rocking the way you all do.

I just want to feel better. Working on my weight will help ease some of my pain and give me back some of the stamina I lost. :)

NE - I still can not see the weight I have lost. But my joints feel a little better and Mark tells me that I am not keeping him up snoring (though I always thought that he was just listening to himself snore lol ;) ).

Nek I agree just being able to keep going longer and feeling stronger makes this all worth it.

Liz. I've noticed just a small weight loss and my joints feel better too. I keep thinking I wonder what it's going to feel like after I lose a whole other person.

Hello NEKrebel, feeling better is definitely a perk to losing weight. I'm looking forward to not being so darn tired all the time. I'm hoping by getting more in shape & shedding some of the weight I won't feel so utterly exhausted at the end of the day.

More than anything, feeling energized and fitter is worth all of the pain of the exercise. And it gets easier each week. When you feel exhausted! Stop! Take a day off from the exercise and eat only to maintenance! It is amazing the difference it makes. Then you are ready to go... Even further than you did before!
