I am so glad to find people around my age. I have been reading comments from all sorts of people - but they all seem to be in their 20's. I need support from those who know how hard it is to lose weight once you pass your 30's!

It's soooo tough when you're not a teenager!!
It's take so long to even lose a pound.
    All motivation welcome !!
  • I think it is tougher when you are at the age where you have been there and done that. It is hard to care anymore what anyone thinks, let alone yourself. I struggle daily with "Why do I bother?" I cared in my 20's and 30's.

It doesn't have to be that tough. If you're setting huge goals, stamping them with dates and have a definition of success tied to the scale hitting numbers on those dates you'll only find aggravation and disappointment.

Focus on what type of lifestyle you'd like that contains elements of fitness and a calorie deficit, then tweak your daily routine until it resembles that lifestyle. If I waved a magic wand and you just hit your goal weight, what would a sustainable routine to maintain it look like? Brainstorm it out then experiment until you find the one that not only works for you but you can really embrace. Stick with it and things change, scales move. You should be able to hit goal weight and not even have to think about how you'll maintain it, it's just a small tweak to what you're already doing.
