Two Good Reports!

I wanted to report a “scale victory” and a "non-scale" victory.
The scale victory first. Here is a pic of my scale today:

ci1444y9begb.jpg

What is significant about the pic? The middle weight is now on the 200 notch, meaning I am now under 250! Yahooo! I haven’t been under 250 in about 13 years!

Non-scale victory… I have dropped about at least 10” from my waist. I dropped one pant size down about a couple months ago. (I have every pair of pants I owned for about 25 years, as time would go on, they would shrink ;) and they wouldn’t fit me anymore). The current pair of pants were “bunching” when I cinched up my belt. I didn’t like the bunched feeling.

So today I went into my treasure trove of shrunken ;) pants and I tried the first pair I picked up. What a wonderful fit, not bunching at all. AND my belt went down another notch (7th and last notch). I lost two notches on my first belt, then my new & current belt, I have lost another 7 notches = about 9 or 10 notches, all told, since I started the Keto WOE.

I looked at the pants I wore when I started the diet (314 lbs), they were size 54’s. But that’s not all. They were “stretch” pants. If I didn’t have stretch version, I think it would easily be 56”. I took off the nice fitting pants to see what size they were: 46’s!

I’m a happy camper!

I hope this helps,

Dan the Man from Michigan

Wait. You've kept all of your old pants? I didn't think anybody could out-frugal or out-hoard me. D00d, you're awesome! :)

That's really fantastic Dan, you must be so proud! Love the new wardrobe on hand too!

Have to admit I have that too, but I only go between sizes 12 and 18-20 (Australian sizes!)

Yeah, I have been diagnosed (by my daughter) as "pre-hoarder". Well, on the SAD diets, I gained so much weight and fast, that many of my pants are almost brand new. The pair I am wearing now looks like I just bought them. I just can't throw stuff like that away. But now that I have found a way to lose and keep the weight off, I AM going to throw away the Larger sizes as I shrink in them. I will keep the biggest one to remind me how bad I was. And to do some "before & after pics".

Great news!!!!!!! Donate everything to Goodwill that is too big right now! No going back! :)

@yturie47‌ Goodwill is a for profit company, and it's CEO/President is a multi-millionaire, and they really don't help the public much. If you want to donate, please look into finding a local shelter/church, etc. I donated my stuff to a Battered Women's Shelter here in town, and they have a tax ID number and everything...

Yes, Goodwill is a service that helps those buying things cheaply, sometimes. But you can go out and look up the leadership of all of the main organizations and see whether they are for profit, what their salaries are, and all of that so you can make an educated decision in your donations. Also most countries/states have a pretty good freecycle program now, so that someone who needs it might be able to use your stuff... Just some more thoughts re: donations.

But I agree, pulling out the safety net of "fat clothes" helps the mindset!

I went to a funeral Monday. Not happy about that but I wore a suit I bought in 1979. The suit which I bought last year (and 50 pounds ago) fit me like a clown suit. My daughter reported to me that she & #1son (who last saw me 40 pounds ago) had a discussion about whaat Dad had done and if he could they could too. That I am happy about.
