So anybody superstitious? Lol...not me. I even have a pure black cat! I would rather have a houseful of 'em if not for the colorful little buggers finding me and I end up adopting all the colors of the rainbow when it come to furballs!

Karen your getaway to Boston sounds fun! That is one place I have not visited yet. Cari....read away! I love to read too.....only issue is I fall asleep reading! So I do it every night....it is my " sleeping" pill! But sure is not nice at work when I am reading in my office and nod off!!!!

Hope you all have a great Friday! ( it is so nice to be close to the same time zones you guys are in!)
Xoxoxo
Nancy where it rained a tad bit yesterday but should be in 70's today ( sorry Karen....you will get brag about your lovely weather this summer when it will be 115-118 F in my neck of the woods LOL)

    Hi all,

this cold is kicking my *kitten*! And I don't mean the weather, although we are supposed to get more snow tomorrow. Winter in Maine this year has been less than fun. We did have two days this week that were GORGEOUS and I even opened some windows to get fresh air in the house. But it was a huge tease.

This cold has made my willpower a nonexistent entity. Holy cow, have I been hungry. I can never remember, are you supposed to feed a cold and starve a fever or is it the other way around? Either way, I am not doing so well in the eating dept. Hope this cold goes away soon so I can regroup and stop the madness!!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    Hello everyone,

We are one week away from opening night and I am getting nervous haha. Things are going quite well, but you can't help but feel a little anxious about it. The musical has been a ton of fun, but it is also kicking my trash. With work and school and everything I leave my house a little before 7 am and get home a little after 11:30 pm. I am going to sleep so much when the show actually starts and I get my weekday evenings back. I will also be able to get back to my lifting, basketball and meal cooking (the last is probably the most important).

Karen, I hope you have a ton of fun on your getaway. Nancy, same for you on your trip home.

Diana, colds can be the worst. I have my fingers crossed that it clears up soon.

Nice to hear from you all!
I've got my gym bag packed and will head to the pool in an hour. Friday evening is usually quiet in the pool, so I'm planning a couple of hours--one for laps and one to do aquasize.

Diana, sorry to hear you're fighting a cold. That's lousy on top of the cold weather that refuses to die (yay, sleet and snow this weekend!). Although if you want to see some hints of spring, come to my house where the grass over the septic tank has been greening up nicely since our leach field froze. Yes, huge piles of snow everywhere... Except this little Circle. Whoops.

Zac, enjoy enjoy enjoy! I used to do a lot of theater and l loved the excitement of opening night, the huge laughs over what we flubbed up, and just listening to the audience have a great time.

Nancy, I'm so glad you've got good weather and are enjoying being stateside. If Boston is on your bucket list, we should really plan your visit here. We're only 2.5 hour drive from Boston, and I have family and friends all over the area. It's such a fun city!!! On my trip, we're staying in the Custom House tower (yes, the original, built in 1847), very close to Fanuel Hall and the aquarium. The Marriot built condos in it a few years ago, but I'm hoping there are some ghosts! Jim and I once heard/felt what we think was a ghost at the Parker House, but it might just have been our indigestion from eating a whole basket of Parker House rolls before bed. Margaret has already picked up our trolley passes which include a visit to the Tea Party museum (a re-enactment on a ship! We get to dump tea into the harbor and shout "no taxation without representation!") On Saturday we'll go to the waterfront market and haggle with the fish mongers, stop by the flower market for bouquets, and finish at the fruit and veggie market to fill our grocery sacks. I'm a little worried about all the walking but will do what I can and rest when I need to. The awesome part is that I have tons more stamina than a year ago.

The last few days I've really struggled to motivate, and, interestingly, yesterday I completely changed like a lightbulb switch. I went from depressed and exhausted to upbeat just like that. Two things happened--I took a mega dose of Vitamin D (10,000 units? Something like that--a prescription) and I took my second shot of methotrexate. So either the D worked or the MTX knocked down my Still's enough to make me feel less crappy. It really is a relief to find the physiological cause to that kind of depression and fatigue. Staying on track with calories and exercise is difficult enough without dealing with what feels like chronic pms. Or maybe it's post-partum depression from parting from ice cream, lol.

Oh, here we go again. I intend to write a quick post and decend into babble. Happy Friday, all!

    K.
