Has anyone eaten something you used to buy and eat all the time before LCHF and been shocked. This morning after church I grabbed a lump from the freezer that turned out to be turkey sausage. Defrosted, sliced and fried. Good Golly Miss Molly!

I could not finish the first piece. Tasted like very salt rubber bands. SO BAD. I am completely spoiled by the real taste of good pork. I can't believe I used to pay extra for the pretend turkey stuff and serve it to my family. :s

This mainly happens to now with desserts. Now that I rarely eat them, when I do they taste awful.

I have had the same experience. Recently I was up late, (husband had gone to bed) and I remembered there was still some ice cream in the freezer. I bought it for him a few weeks ago and had never eaten any. Because I had done so well that day I thought I would cheat and have a half cup. ( Bad idea of course). So I dished it up and was surprised that it just did not seem that good. Too sweet and bland really. I have not been tempted to eat more thank goodness.

But the salsa! I was able to abstain from chips and salsa for the first time at a Mex restaurant recently. The chips were easy. I ended up pouring the salsa all over my fajitas. :)

I spit out (into a napkin) a warm piece of buttered bread last night at a restaurant...that was the first time since Jan 1 that I have had bread and could not stand the taste and previous to Jan 1, would have ate the whole loaf!

I do that, too. I glare at my husband if he eats the last of the salsa with his dumb chips before my fajita innerds get to the table. It is unforgivable.
