nothing like squeaking in at the last minute. Added 2 miles yesterday including a late 1/2 mile walk to reach goal. Bonus miles 0 but at least I made goal.
75 miles in March

As of March 31, I have walked 214.3 miles.0
-
4.5 miles yesterday.

On another note, my son's 18 years old cat died last night; sad day,
but she had a great life, compared to a lot of cats and dogs out there. She was 2 months old when we got her. She literally 'hit the wall' three days ago, and things went downhill pretty fast. We all stayed with her 'til the end and our vet was fantastic.
See you in the April challenge!

Minor scrapes on my elbow, and some really colorful bruises that showed up yesterday afternoon. The bike is fine. (I checked it immediately after I figured out I hadn't broken any bones!)sufferlandrian wrote: »Ouch! Hope you're OK. I've done that. My first thought was, "Did anyone see that?" and my second was, "Did I hurt my bike?" I should have asked myself if anything was broken first.
I hope some anti-inflammatory meds and some TLC makes the wrist OK. Any road scraped knees or elbows?
Oh, there were most definitely people watching. A guy carrying his kid on his shoulders asked if I was ok, and said, "that happens to me all the time!" when I told him I just couldn't get the foot out of the pedal.darkrider42 wrote: »CECI_O_K - OUCH! Glad you're not seriously hurt and don't appear to have broken anything! I've done that a couple times before too and that does NOT feel good. I think sometimes the worst part was looking around and wondering if anybody saw me do it.
I've had the "clipless" pedals for about 18 months. This is only the 2nd time this has happened. Worth it to me for the extra benefits I gain being clipped in. My pedals are adjustable and before I ride again, I'll fiddle with the tension to make it easier to get out! (I had noticed it was getting harder to get in and out the last couple of times I rode, but didn't do anything about it!)@Ceci_O_K: I sure hope you are okay and not too sore. Not having my shoes uncliphas always been my nightmare. I have been so reluctant to get clips for that very reason.

@ Dave, thanks for fixing my totals.
re: the skinned knee - that's what happens when you are new to clipless pedals and don't get your shoe "uncleated" in time. And that pic is stuck as my avi for the time being. :huh:0 -
hkristine1 wrote: »Well, Dave - I came on to update the spreadsheet since I'm back from vacation, but you had already done it for tonight. Thanks, man! I can resume my normal schedule now. Thanks for covering while I was gone.
I've missed all you wonderful people - and looking forward to April.
Oops, I wasn't sure exactly when you were going to be back! I was doing the last second sprint to do the monthly changeover last night.
The wifi here at the resort is pretty slow in the evenings. Since all of the ski lifts shut down at 4:00pm, EVERYBODY is back in their rooms using wifi and things slow to a crawl. I had to wait til 10:30 or 11 before a few people went to bed and it started moving again.
We missed you too and hope you had a great trip! :drinker:

As you've seen, you are most definitely not alone there with not getting your foot unclipped in time! There's a fairly sizable club here in this challenge alone.Calliope610 wrote: »@ Dave, thanks for fixing my totals.

I'd venture to say that there are probably very few people in the history of toe clips that haven't done that at least once.

We should be getting about 6 inches of snow here during the weekend... I won't say how I really feel about the winter that just doesn't want to go away lol. Still 3 feet of snow on the ground here...
