i feel a binge coming on. I have 300 calories left for the day, and trying to figure out what I can eat to feel super full and make this not happen. Feeling stressed out and sad. Drank water and went for a walk...advice welcome.

I would say that if you're hungry, go get something to eat and then sit down and write down how you're feeling. I recently just got into journaling when I feel a binge coming, and it has helped me tremendously!

Try to separate yourself from the food. Serve yourself your dinner, a portion within your range (don't obsess about this piece though - just come close) and then leave the kitchen. Eat slowly and mindfully and pay attention to how you feel. Take deep breaths and just be present - eating is only running away. You are strong enough to stay. You can do it.

Yup, get out of the kitchen. Maybe go upstairs for a bath or to read in bed. Stay strong!

What has been helping me is that if I feel it coming on, I instantly make maintenance my limit for the day. That way, I loosen up but still keep my weight under control. On the worst days, I have given myself an extra 1000 calories, and tell myself that one deficit day in the past is now just a regular maintenance day.

This really helps me to get back on track. Before, I would go over, give up, and it would continue for a couple days because I "lost" those days anyway. Now, I just think of all the deficit days I've had and realize that hey, par is okay for a couple days, and there is nothing to make up because I've made birdies all those other days.

Thanks guys. I ended up just eating the rest of the taco meat, straight out of the pan, which put me over my limit, but only by a little. Then I did some weight training, and settled down with a book. It's really nice to know that there is support here. I'm definitely learning coping skills. Old me would have gone and gotten a secret pizza.

I find that plain nonfat Greek yogurt with stevia and oat bran helps fill me up. Hope this helps
