I started C25K in January...
January 18 was the day that made everything else possible. It was the walk before I decided to try C25K. I had been intermittently jogging since summer, but this day I decided to jog until I couldn't. I had an expectation of how far I could go, then went 1/2 a mile farther. Then I decided maybe I'd lost enough weight (about 70 pounds by this point) to try something big.
So January 22 I began C25K. I was able to do the first 2 weeks outside before hard core winter hit Wisconsin. Then I did 5 weeks on the treadmill. Transitioning outside in March was hard! So it set me back a few weeks, but I just kept trying! For 10 weeks.
Today I did it. I ran all 3.2 miles (I know a 5K is only 3.1, but I wanted to be sure I nailed it for real!). And I run slow, so instead of running for 30 minutes straight, I ran for 44 minutes. To celebrate I sold 1/2 of my wardrobe that no longer fits! The other half goes tomorrow! Then I look for a kettlebell. Suppose they make a "Couch to Buff" program????
