@Totalobivia Yes to chips! Something to munch on while socializing
I want low carb ice cream that actually tastes and feels like ice cream. Specifically a flavor that incorporates peanut butter, chocolate, caramel, cookie dough, and strawberries.
Bread would be nice too, like a nice wrap for a sandwich.
Also, having a powder, like protein powder, that helps with fat intake that you can bake/cook with. I know fat bombs exist, but I want flavored fat powder or a bar.0 -
I am in the Detroit Suburbs and I can't find Lard. When I find a can that says lard, it has "Partially Hydrogenated" oil in it.
Like you, I'd like beef fat in a bag!
I would like a lo-carb breading that tastes as good as wheat flour. Yes, I have tried almond flour, it tastes good, but doesn't stick well. I'm gonna try baking with it, and see if it works better. And I hear coconut flakes/flour may be a good replacement, But I haven't tried it yet. I'd like to deep fry some, fish & chicken.

A really good tasting organic protein bar that doesn't have soy, nuts, artificial sweeteners, bananas or whey (my allergies).0

I would like to see a sugar that tasted exactly like sugar without the calories, the insulin effects and the cravings and I would be one very happy camper. Dream on, right?0

@Fat4Fuel2 I recently had clotted cream with frozen raspberries. Tasted very like ice cream. If you added a couple of drops of stevia and got the cream quite cold, you could mush up some frozen strawberries and be just about there for strawberry ice cream. The clotted cream is so thick it feels and tastes like artisan ice cream!0

@totaloblivia, years ago when I was <whispers> eating low fat, I used to make 'ice cream' by blending low fat yoghurt with frozen fruit. Just dumped in a food processor and whizzed up, it made a very passable ice cream. I bet doing the same with frozen raspberries and clotted cream would be amazing.0

I think coconut flour is too sweet for breading... for me anyway! unless I am doing some kind of curryI am in the Detroit Suburbs and I can't find Lard. When I find a can that says lard, it has "Partially Hydrogenated" oil in it.

I like the Breyer's low carb ice cream. I've had the vanilla and it's pretty good!
I've been ordering from Netrition.com and buying Great Low Carb Bread company products. They make excellent buns, bagels and pizza crusts.0 -

Now since chips/fries are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, this might not work, but my fiance loved it when I baked the chicken thigh skins separately afterward to crisp them up, like US chips, which I think UK calls crisps.... He ate the whole container (about 8 of them, I think) like they were potato chips! LOL The salty crunchy bit would help...0 -

I don't buy lard anymore either. I find that the bacon drippings and fats from cooked meats is enough to provide cooking fats.
It's easy to get lard from the supermarket here but I would also second getting some fat from the butcher and just melting it in a saucepan on the stove. It will keep in the fridge for a long time.0
