this might be a stupid question but here it goes
My goal is 1651 cal
Fats 30 percent 55g
Carbs 30 percent 124g
Prorein 40 percent 165g
Today I hit these
Fats 58g
Carbs 125g
Protein 158g
So I'm over on some by a couple but under on protein by 7 but I'm still over 100 calories short for the day ???
I know there is 4 cal in protein and carb gram and 9 in fat
Can someone help

Yes you are correct. Just watch the macros. Pick a few things you ate today and do the math. You will find that some foods are entered incorrect in mfp. Some food manufacturers round up or down calories. Mine are never exact and I've been off as much as 200 calories in a day. Macros are much more accurate. (Also alcohol has calories but not matching macros and often sugar alcohol foods won't match )0

That's 1654 calories, right on the money.
58 x 9 = 522
(125+158) x 4 = 1132
1132 + 522 = 1654.
But very true point on database entries - I always run through my label to confirm someone entered it correctly, also because they usually don't mention grams but that's how I'm logging it.
I'm always surprised that someone obviously rushed something like entering the info, not double-checking, ect, and others have confirmed it when wrong. Ugh.0 -
Honestly, the only macro I really focus on trying to hit is my protein and even then, I try to get a minimum of 100 grams (around .8 grams per lean muscle mass). Otherwise, don't worry about it.0
