when starting a workout, you hold the button at the beginning and end of the workout to log it with the fitbit. Do you still add it as a workout on my fitness pal too? As obviously it shows no workout in my fitness pal if you don't.

On my flex I just logged workout manually on my fitness pal, but with the charge HR like to do it through the fitbit, as i like all the details you get.

I'm curious of this as well since I just upgraded from the Flex to the Charge HR. Hopefully someone can help us out! lol

I recommend you read the FAQ that heybales wrote, which you can find in the stickies for the group. That's the long answer (it's long, but thorough).

    Short answer - no.

Medium answer - most people use Fitbit to log all their exercise and let it pass calories over to MFP. If they want a status update, then they enter a manual one.

Personally......I do not log any exercise in MFP now at all I have my Charge HR.....

you can log them if you want, but you need to know the exact time you workout to add it to MFP accurately.....it will then over write the FB adjustment so your not double dipping.....

Personally I now use / prefer the Fitbit app for tracking my Workouts.......when you do press hold the button to start / stop it logs your activity in FitBit....if you go to your activity log, you can change the name of your workout there, I now change the name to show what exercise I have done....giving me a full log of my exercises.....including all my HR data etc....

I did notice that after a few weeks of not logging my exercise in MFP though it did feel as though I was not doing any exercise....to my MFP friends......so now I manually enter any workout in my news feed so all my FL can see I am not a total lazy git still....lol....

There is a really good Sticky in this group written by Heybales that will give you a lot of info about your Fitbit....and some you don't know you need yet too....

Exercise logged in MFP overwrites your Fitbit burn during that time. Log exercise in Fitbit, not MFP. If you want it to appear in your newsfeed, then post a status update.

Thanks. I will just do a status update. I just didn't want to look like a lazy so and so to MFP friends lol

An accurate burn is way more important than "likes." By posting a status update, you get the best of both worlds.
