I just can't feel hungry

I mean I'm hungry but not hungry, if that even makes sense. I go to the fridge and stare at the contents but can't find an appetite for anything. Yesterday I felt like my calorie level is too low but even at that level sometimes I don't even want to eat all my calories. Today I didn't even finish my half avocado at lunch, I just feel full after very little and the thought of more makes me nauseas.

I could drink bpc, it's like crack to me these days but I can't live off coffee.

I've had so many allergic type reactions lately too that I'm being even more cautious.

I've found if I go slightly higher on carbs like on the weekends I have more of an appetite. But during the week I don't go as high cuz the foods I prepare.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm whining :( or crazy, it's just like every week by this time I feel all lost and confused, I don't know what I'm doing. My family has no clue what I'm talking about either so they don't know what to say to me to help.

When I feel like that, I take low carb protein powder and mix it with unsweetened almond-coconut milk + however much oil I need. I've used heavy cream, macadamia nut oil, flax oil, and walnut oil at various points. With the chocolate protein powder, it ends up tasting like a delicious chocolate shake. It's like drinking a meal instead of dealing with eating and cooking.

    I view it as a victory if I don't feel hungry. :)

Yeah I'd love to but I know my body needs more to keep it healthy, I just feel like I'm forcing myself to eat so I have enough calories for the day

I ended today with only about 1000 calories (my daily goal / limit is 1300).
    So...
Just added some peach sleepytime tea + 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream, and a serving of golden flax seeds with cinnamon. I'm looking pretty good now, and will have a wonderful snack while I wind down for the evening. :)

Do you eat your flax ground or whole? I thought I read somewhere that or bodies don't break down the whole ones, but I prefer them to ground.

I'm having trouble reaching calories and just starting to have appetite decline which is weird bc always hungry. My dr explained that carbs increase appetite and Keto is naturally curbing it. I'm in week 2 of my Keto diet. I like liquid options like coffee or tea with heavy whipping cream. I also substitute a meal with Atkins coffee flavored shakes on ice(a little thick w/o or try to add coffee), they have calories, protein, and 2 net carbs ( not a breakfast person). Low fat cheese sticks have no carbs either and I can slowly snack on them.

I always feel hungrier on days when I work out a bit. Try going for a walk/run/whatever for half an hour and see if that stirs up some ghrelin (the "hunger hormone") for you? Or just grab a spoonful of peanut butter or a fat bomb that you like to add fat and calories, maybe.

Yes, I have read that too--buy your seeds whole but grind them to get the nutrition. I bought ground flax once--never again! it was rancid.

I've been eating my flax seeds whole, but I try to "grind them up" with my teeth when I eat them. >_>
I got the idea to mix them with cinnamon from the TV show "Psych", of all things.

I was like this in the beginning as well, and as I've gotten closer and closer to goal (pretty much there now), my appetite has increased dramatically. My theory is that when you have extra adipose tissue being used up along with your dietary fats, you will have great appetite suppression, but the less adipose tissue you have to use up, the greater your appetite.

Also, exercise tends to do it for me, esp. lifting weights. I am always ravenous the day after and two days after a good weights session. Cardio seems to suppress appetite for me.

I think i'm going into keto, the last few weeks when I started to feel this way I would eat some candy just out of habit and i think that prevented me from going full keto. So maybe I'm transitioning in to it because I've been really on point for three days.
