Immersion blenders

Has anyone found a good cordless one? How are they to clean? I'm thinking of getting one almost exclusively for BPC, do you really just blend directly in your mug?

I dont know about cordless but we got a cheap $15 off amazon that broke the first day. Then we got a $50 Kitchenaid one for $30 at costco and that thing is a workhorse! We love it. We make mayo and mustard with it but it mostly gets used for BPC.
I use a quart widemouth canning jar to mix my coffee in. It is tall and thin, just enough for the immersion blender to fit and easy to clean. But then again, when i make BPC it is for 3 people so a canning jar might be over kill for one person...maybe, it is BPC after all
As far as cleaning, really easy on the one we have. The attachments pop off so you can clean them separately but if you are getting an all-in-one just immersion blender then just put it in the warm soapy water and turn on for a few seconds and it comes clean. Wipe the outside down a little and done.0 -
I have a Hamilton Beach that generally has done pretty well, but the low gear died last time I used it and the middle fills with water when I wash it, so the part that doesn't touch food is rusty.. I'm considering splurging on a Cuisinart one.0

There is a good battery operated "frother" on amazon someone posted that they said works great for BPC. I don't have an immersion blender at all anymore, and when I did, I just had a cheap one. To clean, I just ran a cup of hot water, a couple drops of soap, then blended the hot soap water, rinse, and set on the towel to dry. I can't imagine any others being that difficult. I want to get a stick but the thought of a rechargeable one is intriguing. Gonna go look again!0

I use my Braun immersion for foodstuffs, and I use the "frother" that Knit referred to for my BPC (I actually have two, one for work one for home). I don't think I paid more than $10 or $12 each for them. Mine are battery operated...in retrospect, I should've sprung for the rechargeables because I've gone through some AAA batteries! lol I've heard good things about the Aerolatte frother...around $20 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.0

I've got an ancient Moulinex immersion blender that I've had since 1985 and it's still going strong 30 yrs later. It's got a cord of course. But it works very well.0

I use a 5$ battery powered milk frother to blend coconut oil into my coffee.0

Whenever I tried to use a blender, my coffee spilled everywhere, so now I just stir it by hand. Not frothy, but still good.
