I've had my Fitbit for a month now and I'm having a time getting the minimum 10,000 steps in a day. I have a desk job and there's not much space for me to move around. Any suggestions? Some encouragement would be great too.

Park as far away as you can from anything you are walking in to, including work. Couple extra minutes is nothing, just plan well. Take the long way around the office to the water, bathroom, lunchroom, ect. When you see smokers get up to go out, go walk a lap around the office.
  • I'm new to this, got my fitbit flex but didn't know it could be linked to myfitnesspal! Also joining weight watchers in a few weeks so I can link up with the points system. Does anyone know if the weight watchers app is accurate, over generous, or mean? I have a physical disability that stops me working out hard but I've been reaching 12,000 steps for the last 3 days which Is super encouraging!

WW seems to be fine for those that can't exercise much so little expectation to transform the body nicely.

That's because it generally underfeeds by a big amount, encouraging wrong kind of weight loss. Suggest you save the money and follow the Fitbit and MFP goals for eating for a month and see where you are.

Have had Fitbit flex for abt a year and half now and only remove to shower or charge....love it! Play around with new bands...zig-zag, flowered, patriot pattern, etc. to keep it interesting. Other: gluten free most of the time, grain free usually, sugar free...well I'm working on it.

I've had my flex since it came out and I haven't been good about using it on a regular basis but I just talked my boyfriend into buying a charge so that's about to change :] I'd love some new friends on here and there!

I've had my flex for a little over a year and love it. Even when I don't check out the numbers it reminds me everytime I LOOK at the band on my wrist and helps keep me from sabatoging, most of the time.
    Friend me

My boyfriend and I are both avid FitBitters, and I love new friends! https://www.fitbit.com/user/23D969 I'm more into the Goal Day challenges than the competitions, cooperative play makes me a little less crazy. :P

Having used weight watchers app and MFP I would rather MFP especially the barcode tracker, the weight watchers one didn't have anywhere near as much data.
