Why do we stop?

Why? When the support is amazing and the results are so awesome? We have some members who keep these habits going and are there to be supportive for all of the new members and I want to be like them when I grow up!
We must commit to ourselves to continue with what is giving us positive results, whatever that may be for you!
Love yourself and always be kind to others!

I think there's probably a couple of reasone. One people stop because they get burned out on the weighing, measuring, logging and endless thinking/talking about food, excercise, etc. Two is that they get complacent, the weight's off, they can relax. Truth is it is hard to maintain the lifestyle to maintain the weight loss. I'm not to goal yet but dropped my guard during the holidays and gained 10 pounds. Now I'm struggling to get that off and continue on. We all know it's a "rest of my life" change, but it's not easy to maintain those changes long term. Of course we all also know it's so worth it if we do.0

Sadly after weight loss surgery, many people think they are "cured" and go back to their bad habits. Or they think the surgery is magic and they do not have to work to keep the weight off. I do not track every day, just when I am up a few pounds (currently I am up 5 but will lose them in a few weeks)0

We think surgery will make us normal. lol but what is normal? I have come to the conclusion that I will never have a "normal" relationship with food. I will always have to watch my weight. I can do that a few different ways, but I will always have to stay on top of it so I don't get out of control. I can continously watch everything I eat or I can kinda do what I want for a bit and when I get to my upper limit (within a 5-10 pound range I have set for myself) than I gotta get back to it hard and heavy to get the pounds back off before I start the cycle again.
LOL so much for normal, but I have come to learn that most normal weight people don't just magically stay at their desired weight. They have to work at it constantly or they cycle up and down within a given acceptable range (whatever they set as acceptable for themselves).0
