MFP calculator broken?

Hi all,
I was calculating my percentages (so far) for today of carbs, fat and protein, and they didn't add up to 100. So then I worked out my calorie count by multiplying the grams of aforementioned macros by 4, 9 and 4 respectively, and adding them together, and I got a different number of calories to MFP. Am I going batty, is this a known bug or am I missing something really obvious?
So I make it 1214 calories altogether, not 1154.
61 x 4 = 244
70 x 9 = 630
85 x 4 = 340
total = 1214
Any thoughts?

My true guess is that one or several of your items need to be corrected. Their individual totals don't add up. So your end totals are off.0

Also, macro values are rounded, calories are also rounded. This is a difference of only about 5%, essentially nothing. Fiber also takes away 2-4 calories per gram, you surely have some fiber in this total.
In short, everything is an estimate. The calculated calories (from the macros) and the displayed calories are in agreement within the margin of error, especially without having fiber information on hand.0 -
Thanks for the replies. That makes sense. I didn't know about subtracting the fiber, and most of the carbs were from vegetables.

I know that when I build recipes some items cause an error. I wonder if that happens in the diary too.0
