Guess what I found today?

Bone lumps on the outer edges of my wrists. I've seen them on other people but I haven't seen them on me since I was 11 years old (now 58!). Even though I have weighed as little 68 kgs / 150 lbs and am currently 83 kgs / 180 lbs. What does that tell me? Low carb rids my body of *fat*, despite what it says on the scales in the morning.

It won't be long until my collar bones show through. I can easily see their definition when I bring my shoulders forward, but I won't count them until I can see them with good posture.

And my blood pressure machine cuff used to be really borderline on me. Today there's nearly two inches spare! Yet I've 'only' lost 5.2 kgs / 11½ lbs on the scales, so I think I must have increased my muscle mass for sure!!!

What have you unearthed that used to be hidden?

Veins. Not in the bodybuilding sense, but just in general. Normally I wouldn't care, but my new doctor is blood test happy, and so far she's had me stuck every time I've gone in. I have tiny mutant veins, so the more options they have, the better.

Congrats on your wrists, collar bones probably won't be that far behind.

That upper arm muscle that wraps from your tricep around to the bicep.

My ribs. Sure, there's still a nice little layer of padding over them, but I can see where they are now. :) The lower half of my body is a bit more stubborn......

 Haha, on that same thread -- my sexiness. Well...it's getting there. Things are finally converging such that I <3 wearing tank tops and shorts.

I'm still not comfortable in stuff that's more form-fitting, but I'm getting there. I actually asked my HR manager, who was collecting t-shirt sizing information, to consider vendors that have sane sizes for fitted t-shirts (none of this crap where a 2X is barely the size of a straight-cut's medium or whatever garbage), because I would actually prefer a fitted tee. Even a year ago, I would have been just as happy with a straight cut tee.

I think I like yours better. We found fleas in the bathroom, and we don't even have pets! Hazards of country living, I suppose...

    Great NSV!
For me, first was my hands and feet got slimmer, then my face (hello cheekbones), then collar bone, along with wrist and ankle bones. I wish I could have uncovered some breasts, but never had much to begin with, so they are much, much smaller now than before. Hips/butt got smaller, but thighs are hanging in there. Very stubborn fat storage there for me.
Most recently, came the prominent rib cage, chest bones, and pelvic bones. I'm also noticing more prominent veins esp. in my hand, forearms, and feet. I'm not that fond of the look, but what are you going to do?

Oh, on the plus side, I found shirts in my closet that aren't tank tops, meaning I'm breaking out of wearing the same thing every day because I don't want to think about how things fit.

Nice job GrannyMayOz!! I too like these non-scale victories. Pants a little looser, shirt not pulling across my chest. Can't wait to find my chin again!

I'm so happy for you!!! That's a great progress and it just proves that we can do it if we put our minds to it! Keep getting better and better with each day! :)

I noticed my body slimmed down a lot, plus i have been exercising a lot more with not huffing and puffing. When i went for my endoscopy, the nurse was preparing me for the anesthesia and kept telling me how cute and little my hands are..... whatever, i've never heard that before and not sure if it's a good thing or bad thing, lol

I'll be really amazed when I can see my whole foot.

Truly loving the answers here. They are all giving me a huge smile - with happiness for all the discoveries, and a belly laugh at the funny ones. (I'm not going to put humorous or humour any more because of the spelling differences ha ha!)

    It most certainly does!!!

That's the belly laugh. Hope they turn up wabmester.

Probably TMI but when I take my middle-of-the-night loo trip I used to tuck the torch between my leg and my belly while I sorted the TP aspect of things. I can't do that any more, it falls off >:)

I've found greasy hair. Over the past several years my hair had become more dry, which I guess happens to a lot of people as they age, but I had always been one of those people who *had* to wash my hair every.single.day or it looked like poo because it gets so weighed down with natural oils. Guess what. It's back. That's not really a good thing, as I enjoyed being able to skip a shampoo day here and there (and the associated savings on hair products).... but I guess it is an indicator of healthier hair.

Granny, you're tucking a "torch" ..... like fire? ;) (I am trying to mentally picture that) Hopefully that's an British word for flashlight? LOL!

Bones in general...I find myself touching them all the time...my chin, my chest, and lower arms. I'm starting to annoy myself.
