MFP Premium and broken scripts whether you subscribe or not

If you haven't heard, they're starting MFP premium, which is a subscription service for $50/yr to give you "advanced" features on MFP. Two of those include setting your macros by gram, like we already do now with the enhanced macros script, and tracking quick calories by macro instead of calories. It's been reported in the main forum discussion about it, that someone who is already on the "upgraded" version where it offers them the chance to subscribe can no longer use the advanced macros script. Has anyone seen yet if it also breaks the net carbs script?

Official site info about the new offer: https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1935023-how-do-i-upgrade-to-myfitnesspal-premium-

There's more under the "help" option.

It isn't available in Australia yet, and I've never been able to get the enhanced macro script to work.

the macro script only works on a computer using firefox or chrome with tampermonkey/greasemonkey. Once you set it up on the computer, the numbers carry over to the app. Or, it will until you get the premium offer.

None of these would benefit me in any way. Guess I won't even consider it. Hopefully they don't intend on screwing with the group's as a money grab.

I hope they don't mess with things too much either. About five years ago I was on a different support site, and had gotten to know some of the other members pretty well and they totally changed the whole set up. Lost all of my friends and groups.

@Kuranda I did get the script working on my PC with Google Chrome. I added the instructions (with more words added than Dragon?/Bacon?s original instructions in the Over 50s thread, but good luck finding it; that thread is 17 pages long now. You'd be fine with the original instructions anyway if you can find them.

I have a feeling that the advanced macro script just needs some modification when the new format arrives to work again. I wouldn't worry too much about it until the time comes.

I was feeling guilty about getting all the benefits of MFP for free, so I thought this would be a great way to pay them back a little.

But then I remembered they just cashed out for $475 million, so I figure they don't need my money. :)

And $85 million for Endomondo as well - mere pocket change.

Ah, so that explains all the UA branding all of a sudden.

I'd rather UnderArmor than Gatorade or another food centric company.
