Hi and welcome!

I went by Fall on the BL and just completed the Total Body Makeover bootcamp and I think it was a great way to get into cross-training. This bootcamp is wrapping up and I'm still investigating what to do next, but I wanted to keep in touch with others that I met during this bootcamp who may or may not be leaving the Biggest Loser program and hopefully this group will to be a great way to do it.

So let's keep that momentum going and as always, WE GOT THIS!

I am in the same bootcamp as you and like you want to keep in touch with everyone. Thanks for setting this up.

Hi all  I'm a soon to be TBMBLBC alumnus too. I hope we get a bunch of alumni in this group! I think I'm gonna try the 'On Demand' bootcamp for at least one month to see what it's like. I've actually been enjoying mixing things up with adding DailyBurn and FitStar workouts to the Biggest Loser workouts this past week! I also like the meal planning with Biggest Loser and haven't really found an adequate replacement yet...

Hello everyone, I think my name should clue you in to who I am (soon to be was) on the BLBC. *raising my champagne glass* "Here's to our success!"

It's really great to see quite a few Alumni already! I find myself conflicted now with 2 places to post to, at least for now.

I just dropped down to the normal BL Club and going to see how it goes for a month. It will be interesting to compare notes Kristine about what the difference will be between the On Demand and the regular club. I've enjoyed the FitStar routines so far. It's still early but I have noticed that they are quickly adjusting to me and it's a lot more challenging so the feedback system works well. I never thought I would be able to do 2 minutes of jumping jacks... ok barely do! I'm going to check out DailyBurn next week. I took a peek at the scale today and it's looks like I'm up a bit so this weigh-in will not be good news for me. Plus I'm going camping with the Boy Scouts this weekend so I won't be able to work out as I have been and of course, the diet aspect will take a hit. But it will be just a bump in the road so it's all good.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

-Scott (yeah that's my real name)

Hi everyone! I also think I will try the On Demand too for a month and see how things go. Right now I do my workouts at the gym and then sometimes add the workout in bootcamp. I hope that On Demand is set up like a bootcamp, guess we will see.

Today is my first day sans BL Boot Camp, and the website is no longer available to me. But the 10 week Boot Camp was awesome. Too bad the administration did not excel as well. But I must have accomplished something. I was able to complete the first workout of Beachbody's T25 Alpha phase. OK, so I followed along with the modifier in order to protect me knees, but it was still an intense cardiac workout and I did not have to stop at all. Trust me, I would not have been able to do this well prior to BL BC.

That's great Hysteria2! It sounds like the bootcamp also got you dedicated to carrying on with your fitness too - so money well spent despite the less than stellar administration. I did Jillian's Yoga Meltdown Level 1 today with some friends at work. I was actually *scared*! Lol! You know how Jillian was on the Biggest Loser - I was thinking I wouldn't be able to hang with it - but I did! I actually did pretty well. There was this 'push-up' type move where you're supposed to go down in the pushup and hover about an inch off the ground for 15 seconds - yeah, can't do that. So I just did elbow plank there instead. But that was the only one I couldn't really do. We've come a long way!

Awesome news Hysteria and Kristine! I'm getting ready to do my first day of Daily Burn. I took the intro survey and they're recommending "Live to Fail." I think this one is going to challenge me and that's what I need! I get a free month to check it out, but it looks like a good variety of styles to choose from with some as short as 15 days to this Live to Fail being 90 days. I'm excited. No disrespect to those of you staying with BL, but I'm stoked to take the next leg in my journey.....I GOT THIS!

P.S. I'll report my experience later tonight, so glad to see some responses here...I missed y'all!

Ok, just finished the overview and reviewed the nutrition plan. I think LTF may be too advanced for me. Maybe if I were still in my low 40s lol!! I think I need something a bit more beginner-intermediate. I think I'm going to give Total Cardio a try.

I'm doing CardioSculpt. I like it so far - it's also a 3 month program and it's pretty similar to the BL workouts in that it's a combo of cardio and strength. There was a 'meal plan' with it too, but it doesn't give prep instructions or even quantities, so I haven't been using it.

Ooooo T25! I was seriously considering that but the workouts looked pretty intense so I went with the BLBC as I thought it would ease me more into working out. After seeing Hysteria's experience, I'm glad I went that route! For one of my DYOW, I did a Jillian workout (first level of 30 day shred) and was expecting the Jillian we see on TV, but it was actually a good workout. My wife has a bunch of her DVDs including that yoga one so that's another option I got.

Yeah, the admin side of the BL website is so laughable, especially given how much they charge. Since I dropped to just the club, I experienced all kinds of technical issue screens when I tried to select what program to be in today. But in the end, it looks like I have the "On Demand Bootcamp" experience. Figures. So they really need to get it together or I'm actually on the "On Demand" program. I haven't seen any credit card charges yet so who knows. I signed up for the Super Sculptor since that seems to be where those remaining are gravitating to.

I think I may use that BC as supplemental if at all depending on how my other workouts go. If it wasn't for my friend's challenge on FitStar, I would be checking out Daily Burn by now but I really want to win our challenge! I had a huge lead on him but he made up ground while I was out camping so I better get to it.

2nd day of T25. This one was Speed 1.0. I am doing the modified version at least for this week, but I think I will end up doing a combination of modified and regular version. The modified jacks are just like the ones we did on BL, and really aren't very challenging. The problem with doing the regular ones is that they go on for a lot longer than they did on BL. So a combo of the two will work well. Again I was able to do the entire 25" without stopping. Tomorrow will tell the tale. It's supposed to be the toughest workout of the Alpha Phase, so we shall see. I have to say the the BLBC gave me a great foundation. I would not have been able to do T25 at all if I hadn't done BL first.

    WTG Hysteria!

As far as the BLBC, they finally got their act together and now there is a difference between club and "Bootcamp on Demand". Now you can search for a workout and filter by trainer, type of exercise, and length. It looks like they added some new short exercise videos but since I'm on the regular club membership, I cannot play them. One thing that I cannot do, which I thought I would be able to do based on other people's comments, is access the BC we just did, which I was accessing for the warmups and cool downs.

I'm currently on the Super Sculptor one, but to be honest, I'm not doing it as it doesn't really interest me at this time. I've been getting some great workouts in with FitStar now that it has adjusted the workouts to me and I can do some additional "Freestyle" workouts from time to time. I'm definitely dropping BL next month. All the cool people are over here anyways! B)

I'm thinking the same as you Scott - I chose Super Sculptor too, but I haven't done one workout from it yet! I've been doing FitStar, Dailyburn, Rudy's 30-day challenge, and Jillian's Yoga Meltdown. Right now, the only thing I'm using BL for is the meal plan. Do they provide that with the club? It might be worth it to me to pay $15/mo just to have access to that...

I printed to PDF every single meal plan and recipe from BL's boot camp and recipe archive. Took me a few hours to do it all, but I have Week's 1-10 plans (w/shopping lists) and all the other recipes in my own archives ;)

You guys have given me alot of thought. I am going to stick with BL right now but the meals are the same as in bootcamp. I am in On Demand and doing sculptor also.

Actually, now that you mention it Rudy - I printed them all out to paper too. I didn't do the recipes, but I certainly could.

That's cool Debbie. How's it going with the Super Sculptor? Have you explored some of the newer (at least it seemed to me) BL workouts available on demand?

Kristine... Did you see where Susy the admin responded to the thread that Hysteria actually started asking about the differences between the BLBC and the BLC? Here it is:
There is a baseline of features - all the trackers, meal plans, recipes, etc - that all members have access to.

    The difference is the PROGRAM.

Club members are put on a program - classic, maintenance, 6-week accelerated - that include a suggested exercise plan, meal plan, etc.

Bootcamp members have a DAILY program that covers all aspects - workouts delivered, motivations, etc.

The Trainer aspects of the program are only in Bootcamp; they don't have any features in the club.

My experience is different as a regular club member regarding the PROGRAM, since I am on the Super Sculptor (which I think I probably shouldn't be able to be on), where I can get the workouts and the daily message, which kinda seems like the same messages from the previous BC. I just can't change to another bootcamp or access the other workouts.

I'm going to post another topic soon about meal planners. I've done a little research on it but I'm not quite finished yet.

I would like to see what you come up with. I meals arent new and the exercises arent either. Its just nice to have a message in the morning but not for $39.

I did see Suzy's reply today. She also said you should be able to access workouts from boot camps that you'd completed previously, and I had thought you had said that you couldn't? I did another DailyBurn workout today - 'Kickin' It with Kiera' and now I'm almost fanatical about getting my 10,000 steps a day for my Fitbit - Lol! I'm kind of competing with a friend at work who also has a Fitbit, so I'm hitting the treadmill in the fitness room at work for 10-15 minutes a time anytime I have a break. I'm just thinking- like Debbie said, it's not worth the $39.99.

I have been a member of emeals.com for several years and they offer seveal 'diet' meal plans with grocery list - but it's just dinner, not breakfast and lunch too. They have lunch and breakfast plans, but they're not 'diet'. The past 10 weeks it's just been so convenient not to have to spend much time thinking about every meal, I just pick something from the plan, make it and go.

kristinels sorry just read your post. I think I am going to finish the month, then quit. I do go to a gym, but in the summer after working in the yard it would be nice to come in and do a workout.

Just completed my first week of T25 (and first week without BL). I did the modified version all week except for a few regular jacks here and there. All it takes is 25 minutes. So I also did something else. Thursday I did a 10K on the treadmill (it was horrible outside) and yesterday I dusted off one of my many Richard Simmons "oldies" workouts. I must say those workouts are easier now than they were when I was first doing them. I had to laugh. I finally got back on to the Spark People site. It's been several years. I was 22 pounds heavier the last time I had signed on! 22 pounds! So I must be doing something right. I am still going to Weight Watchers, though with all this online stuff I'm doing now I may not be doing WW much longer. That's $42/month with no exercise program. I am realizing that though diet and exercise work together, exercise is the key. My blood sugar has almost normalized with my intense exercise program. No diet has ever been able to do that. So I'm happy. And reading about what all of you are doing makes me realize that there are so many options out there. I will always be grateful though to BL BC because it really got me going with a regular intense routine. :)

Woohoo! WTG Hysteria! That's so awesome to hear.

I'm calling our progress of branching out to new things "Leaving the Ranch". On the BL show, they always talk about one day, the contestants all leave the ranch and have to do it on their own. Maybe you can throw WW in there too as part of "the Ranch". I'll always be grateful for the BLBC as well. It really opened my eyes to what you can do working out to an online program and for me, that was the first time I worked out with weights and resistance bands so that was a great education for me. Plus I got mixed up with all of you and it's been great having that support system as well.

Oh and Debbie... I haven't heard of shrinking on a budget. What have you found out about it? I did a quick Google search... is it a part of the WW plan? I also see a lot of recipes on MYP related to this.

It is not a ww plan. I think sisters started it, but they were on ww. I will check it out.

WTG Hysteria!!! I'm so glad to hear that kind of stuff! Keep the mojo flowing! I'll be doing some labs here next week. I'm anxious to see the progress the past 6 weeks since my last labs.

"Leaving the Ranch," Love it! I too, am grateful for the BLBC help me get off the couch and kick start my quest. I've got a new lease on life. The boot camp graduation was just a stop on my journey. I'm in it to win it!

I'm also grateful to have met y'all!!
