I was also insulin resistant (check my profile). I do fine on around 100g/d carbs. Lower is fine, but if you're trying to fix dyslipidemia (as I was), you should monitor your lipid profile on a higher-fat diet. I am able to do moderate fat because of the moderate carbs.

I am insulin resistant. the first time I was able to do really well on 90g or carbs a day. Then I stopped for 6 months. Now I am back on and even at 75g a day, I am struggling. About to cut to 50g

I am IR as well. I did well on low carb around 100g or less. I've recently gone lower and lower to see how my body responds. My doctor recommended to limit carbs from starches, white bread, sweets, pasta, and similar. To get carbs from fruits and vegetables.
