Ive heard of keto since high sch but never tried it until mar. 2014 but failed up to july. Ive been trying to hit 20-40carbs/day since.
What books do u recomend? TIA!

    Keto Clarity is good as an anecdotal read.
    Why We Get Fat and What to do about it by Gary Taubes.

    Also, the biggest key to success while maintaining low carbs is to eat moderate protein (to your activity and lean body mass levels to support your muscles), and fill in the rest with fats. If you do not eat a decent portion of fats while lowering your carbs (and these numbers are different for EVERYONE, so you have to find your numbers), you cannot succeed on low carbs and low fats long term. I'm not saying that you are - I just know that when I hear most people who "fail" at this way of eating give up or make it too hard on themselves by not getting enough fats... If I'm completely off the mark, forgive me. :)

    Keto Clarity by Jimmy Moore/Eric Westman is a good beginners guide.
    Phinney & Volek are phenomenal. The books delves into the science of ketogenic diets.

    If you are visually/aurally minded please see youtube for LOW CARB DOWN UNDER Oct 2014 ALL the experts everyone mentioned here is speaking..and hear dietitians who say how they get beat up by their own peers because they DARE to suggest a low carb possibility for their clients.
