Race day! Bike drop off went well, grabbed some food last night, and got everything packed up. Heading out here in a few minutes! I'm part of an Athena group on facebook (Athenas are 165+ weight category for triathlons) and a bunch of us ar meeting up this morning. I met up with two of them yesterday and it was very nice to have people there to hang out with. I've got a bit of the pre-race jitters...mainly because this is my first race in over a year and my first since my surgery! I'll check in later today and let you all know how it went!

    Have a great Sunday!

Love that quote. I think that's Jillian Michaels and it really helped me to reframe my efforts when I first started all this a few years ago. Nice to hear it again.

val good luck! How nice to meet up and hang out in conjunction with the race, especially with ladies who are in a similar boat as you.

Gonna be quick so I can unwind and then catch up to n the other threads. Just got the kids to bed and need to exhale. Took them down to the coast today for a walk and all the playgrounds down there. It's never easy alone to watch a 4 and 10 year old because they kinda go in opposite directions and it was super crowded of course. Anyway, beautiful day, nice walk, got my Starbucks (totally worth the wait), and got a walk to help my sore calves. A nice pseudo rest day. Gearing up for DHs trip in a couple of days, lots of discussions and I'm thinking of my May goals but need to type them up now.

    Gotta go unwind. Later!

Can't wait to hear how the race went Val!

Glad you were able to get out & enjoy the day Sherry.

I'm feeling sluggish today - just tired & achy. I've gotten done what I needed to & plan to spend the evening reading.

Hi, worked this morning, then started looked for things online...getting obsessed again so heading out for mini hike.

I think i am trying to do too many things at once and i am short circuiting my brain! Lol

We decided to buy motorhome to live in for a year while they build our next small home, so i have become obsessed trying to find the perfect one with space for cats beds, low milage and not too expensive...

Then southwest posts their stuff out 6 months if you buy early can get best prices and nonstop tickets, so i am setting up trip to visit daughter in Texas and our anniversary after in new orleans in october.

I cant believe i am doing that because i have no idea where i will even be!!

I am going to fly us out of bay area where other daughter lives and so we can park rv there and she can watch cats.

I have a zillion things to pack and do so why am i doing more??

I think its because i got sick the last two times i visited Laura in colorado high elevation and said when you move i will come...i havent seen my baby in two years! Where does time go?

Done ranting...off to the mountains, fresh air, new thought patterns and exercise!
