Too many steps in MFP

I've been syncing between Fitbit and MFP for 2 years now. I just got a new iPhone 6 after mine was stolen. Today MFP shows me as having over 27k steps when on my Surge HR and app, I only have 16k steps. I have the iPhone set to not track fitness. For the life I can't figure out why MFP has so many more steps!

i was cruising along just fine today until about 2pm(ish). i had 12k steps give or take when suddenly my iPhone mfp said i had 25k. still says that but my cals are about right for my accurate steps. i am assuming it will right itself soon. i have a flex.0

Seems like mfp is adding like 10k steps for some reason. It happened to me too!0

Same problem with me today also too many steps in MFP . I hope it fixes itself !0

Thirded... it's giving me about 4000 more steps than I've taken, though the calorie burns are in sync (or close enough... they're off by under 10 calories).
ETA: It's a known issue:

Glad to know y'all are having the same issue. I just got my new replacement phone so I've been racking my brain trying to find a problem on my phone. Add this glitch to the growing list following the sale to UA.0

Gee, I have an Android, and I'm seeing the opposite problem. I'm at just over 15K steps for the day - which is what I see if I look on the MFP "Check In" page on my laptop - but my phone shows only 3000 steps! Fortunately, the calorie adjustment looks right.0

@NancyN795 I've got an Android too. MFP is showing 27 steps when I've done 7,000 so far. It's still adjusting my calories tho, thank goodness!
