Just ordered my Charge HR. I've had a Polar F15 in the past (with the chest strap in the pre-smart phone connectivity era). I track steps on my phone pedometer now but this will be much better. Yay!0

What the heck, I never even knew that was an option! I thought you were just being funny in your reply but I tried it anyway and sure enough, it starts a new "session" for a walk, run, or whatever. This would have been great to know when I was running my first 5k last weekend. I had checked the stepcount before I started but by the time I crossed the finish line, I had forgotten what it was.
