Today is my 24th wedding anniversary. I had a $100 gift card to this steakhouse, so that's where we went to eat. This place is very pricey so we both got the cheapest steaks on the menu ($32 for a 10oz sirloin - cheaper than the filet - $82!). Sides and salad are extra so we said no to that. Just meat and we drank water. The only extra was I got truffle butter or something like that for my steak. So far so good. Total with tax about $75 so our guy will get a good tip. Nice LCHF meal.
But the surprise from them since it's our anniversary, a free dessert! We got a piece of cheesecake to share. New York cheesecake about 4" thick. It was a huge piece. It had some kind of yummy lemon topping and raspberry sauce was drizzled on the plate. I ate half of it, putting me at a net 63g of carb for the day, way over my 25g. No regrets. It was a special evening and how do you say no to surprise like that? ;)

I started Sunday April 19th, so three weeks. Doing fairly well, but my running tells me I'm not yet fully fat-adapted.

Ahhh, ok then. Next year I bet you won't get the cheesecake. ;)

I'm sure that you are correct. Because I'm looking at it as an experiment. I want to give it a good 7-8 months. I did Veganism for that long - FAIL. So this time next year if I'm still doing it, well, it's working out just fine for me and it will be in the "lifestyle" territory.
