Hey everyone!
So, his nasty cold s really nasty for only about a day. I'm still dribbly and have a slight fever but at least I don't feel I credibley awful.
Yesterday was rough. At my son's first dentist appointment we had discovered he had several cavities. So we brought him to a pediatric dentist and they informed us that basically, his back molar on either side on the bottom had no enamel protecting them. Something he was just born with. Basically, he'll keep getting cavity after cavity...and of course they are the molars he won't lose until he turns 12. So he needs to have two silver crowns put in to prevent his teeth from getting worse. A the rest of his teeth look great. I brought him in yesterday to have the crowns put in. They used concours sedation but it didn't really work apparently. He kept crying and they said they spent so much time trying to calm him down they only got one side done. I go back to get him and he's hysterical. Absolutely hysterical. As I'm getting him out the door and trying to calm him down they inform me that when I come back I'll have to pay for the conscious sedation again. So instead of paying $350 once...because they screwed up the dosage and didn't actually get him sedated...not only do I have to go through this torture of hearing my baby shrieking in ways Ive never heard before, they expect me to shell out for the sedation again. I was too upset to talk at that point, but my husband plans to call and discuss with them the fact that this does not seem acceptable.
It was a stressful day for my poor baby. He seems to be doing a little better. He doesn't have to go back in for the other side for about 3-4 weeks because they want to give his mouth plenty of time to recover. Needless to say, my eating was a little off the charts. But I figure one day of slacking was fine.
Now getting back on track!
Maureen - glad you both found your cat, and a good realtor! A good realtor can make all the difference!
Laura - ugh...snow? We have been having fantastic weather here in Phoenix. It is also unseasonably cool for us...but considering it's usually hitting triple digits that makes it gorgeous right now! Crazy weather for sure!
Have a great weekend!0 -
So sorry about your son Val. That's tough! Somehow its even worse to have our kids be in pain than us, we want to take it away and can't sometimes.
I am fighting allergies again, took some meds so hopefully will be better soon, have lots to do today. Hubby is having garage sale while I work all weekend and I have to pull a bunch of stuff out for him to sell. I was going to stay upstairs until done but because of this will leave one mess to start another in kitchen area.
Realtor found a good older home priced low enough we could remodel a few things in a good neighborhood. I just hope its still there when we get there as I can't see buying anything I haven't physically walked in.
If meds kick in enough, going for my mini hike after getting bangs trimmed.
Down to the wire, moving day is 2 weeks from today!0 -
Val, sorry about the terrible dental experience. :-(
Gonna be quick bc bedtime for kiddos. I decided rest day today. Anything else would've been more negative than positive. Didn't take kids to tutor, just straight home. All I've done is feed my starving 4yo every 10min today (?!?!), laundry, some housework and dinner...and I feel great! Needed the break. Now for bedtime routine and then my quiet time!
