Welcome! You'll find quite a few of us Coloradans in the group. I guess my favorite ride is the Highline Canal. Not challenging in the least, but it's a magical little world in the middle of the city.

Welcome! Eastern/Central NC here. I like to ride... nothing that would impress you Coloradans.

Welcome! I'm from Texas and my favorite ride is any and all new rides. :) I mainly do off roading and am very limited on trails around good ol' East Texas. The highways here can be very dangerous for road cycling because the teenagers around here are notorious for driving in the ditches (and aiming at cyclists :( ).

Welcome! I'm a Brit that now lives in hills of western NC. We don't have nearly the altitude of the Rockies but even at 6,000'+ elevation it's a beautiful place to ride :) Check out some of our many MFP challenges that run at various times throughout the year. They are great fun and highly motivating.

Welcome! I live in NE Florida. I love riding along the highway next to the beach (nice, wide shoulder gives us plenty of room to share the road with motorists) and hitting some of our local mtb trails.
My favorite ride ever was Moose Mountain in Lutsen, MN. Yep, at 1690 ft above sea level, they call it a mountain.

I'm a Texan, now living in Northwest Arkansas. I love riding here in the foothills of the Ozarks- lots of hills and pretty scenery. My favorite riding place when by myself is at my local National Park.

Greetings! I'm in Atlanta. I enjoy St Mtn, the Silver Comet Trail & 2 routes to the Chattahoochee River from my house, best early on Saturday to avoid traffic. Both climb the last 6 miles back to my house-how fun is that?!?!

Hey hey! First Canuck posting here! I live in the Toronto, Ontario region. Dead - freaking - flat. I'd be lucky if I can get a climb longer than 100' in elevation.

I'm mostly working on commuting now, but whenever I see a dirt trail, I can't help but ride down it.

East Central Arizona here, but originally from Portland. Favorite ride is from there, Hillsboro to Banks-Vernonia Trail to Stub Stewart and back - some gravel, some road lots of wide open spaces. Here though, pretty much love it all, high desert, pine forest, gravel, dirt and road, it's all goodf.

I bet that would be a great ride. I actually was born and raised in WA (out on the peninsula).

    Hello all,
I'm also new. Atlanta, GA area. I am somewhat new to cycling. I ride a Specialized mountain bike where I should be on a road bike...saving my pennies for a Dolce Sport!

Looks like I am the lonely antipodean, Melbourne, Australia. Pretty much flat in and around the city, if you ride to the east only then do you get into the hills however nothing like the Rockies though.

Hi everyone, just found this group after an MFP pal linked me to a post. I'm a regular rider, both road and mtb. I live in Watford, UK. Most often I can be seen commuting on the roadie 22 miles a day between Watford and Uxbridge, longer routes when I can. But I'm also nowadays getting very active on the MTB scene and can be often scene down Swinley Forest, Whippendell Woods and a lot of the Welsh trail centres.

    My steeds are:
Road bike - Giant Defy 2014
Mountain bike - Transition Covert 26" Full Sus
    - Specialized Rockhopper 2012 (Hardtail)

My two MTB's are pictured below, for some completely unknown reason upside down.....

Just got back into biking after a 2 year lay-off. I have a Koga Miyata road bike. I'm just riding on my street so far but should be riding around the lake close to home soon. Usual distance was 22 miles before on a hybrid. Hopefully I'll be topping that soon.

Hey. I'm new to the group. I haven't been on a bike in probably 20 years. Just bought an old murray Monterey cruiser bike today and just did my first 3 mile ride. I know that isn't far but since I hadn't been riding in so long thought I better start slow. Any tips for a new rider? Also anyone can add me as a friend. I can always use the support and motivation.

New to the group, been an avid mtn biker for 20 years. My old stomping ground was the Bay Area, Bolinas ridge loop was one of my favorite on a hot day but Tilden was my local ride. I now live offgrid in my own private Idaho (literally) and have trails from my cabin to Montana to explore in the wilderness. My new go-to ride is from my cabin through singletrack and old logging trails for a quick 8-12 mile, 1000ft not-so-technical ride. Reminds of riding in B.C. with the lush forest.
