when does keto start

hi guys im new to this I went lowcarb last week to slowly get into this way of life and calculated my macros. im 5ft and need to shed 3stones. past 4days I have dropped my carbs to 15g. mfp.states I need 1200 calories so im teaching this but no change on the scales yet. when does ketosis kick in? .I haven't gotnthe keto flu yet maybe as I low carbed last week at 20-30g carbs?

How do you measure ketons? If you go very low on carbs you should be in ketosis writhin few days. Do you have any symptoms at all, like lightly lightheaded or bad taste in your mouth? Those were mine with the flu, I was very slaggish and thought I would pass out. It lasted under a week and then it passed. Calories don't matter for ketosis to occurr0

I used ketone urine stick and it didnt even . change a slight bit.i also haven't dropped the water weight yet not even one pound in the last 11 days.so wondering what.am I doing wrong
I am eating fish chicken and salads cheese and using coconut oil and butter but nothing is happening no inches lost on waist either so getting really disheartened.0 -

Go to settings -> diary settings -> at the bottom there should be a spot to change to public0

Ketostix are funny sometimes, the one batch I had always changed colors, maybe yours out of date? And yes, open up your diaries0

If your electrolytes are good you may not have major keto flu issues, so that alone isn't something to necessarily worry about, but yeah, share the diary and you'll get lots of help0

ok ive opened up diary. If any of you guys could add me as a friend so I can see what I should be eating and get ideas that would be great. the keto sticks where a new pack so not out of date who knows! I drink 2litres a day but im obviously doing something wrong if im sticking to below 30g carbs and not losing weight. ..0

I am sure these folks can help troubleshoot it for you. I was in ketosis for 15 days and went out Monday. I am already back to moderate level ketosis by the pee sticks, but I also had heavy exercise yesterday, too. That tends to kick me back in pretty easily.0
