How do you fit FB workouts in to your routine?

Hi all -- not sure how active this group is, but I thought I would give it a shot!

I just completed the 8-week program for busy people... LOVED it, and great results!

Going forward I'm trying to make my own program using my fav workouts. i.e., Monday is Lower Body Strength, Tuesday is Upper Body Strength, Wednesday is HIIT Cardio & Core, Thursday is Cardio (steady state) & Yoga, Friday is Total Body Strength. Weekends are active rest, but I'll try to get a 5km hilly walk in too. I may mix it up a little, but with this type of program do strength on each body area twice, and cardio twice.

My total workout time has to be under 35 mins, but there are SO MANY options! I <3 fitness blender!

Anyhow -- as I'm just coming off a program, I'm curious as to how others use the workouts in their weekly routine?

I try to use their workouts every day but I usually end up doing fitness blender five days a week. I do HIIT 2 or 3 times a week and total body strength training combined with light cardio or jogging outdoors the other 2 or 3 days. Sometimes I do upper body and lower body at different times, like you say. Also I do some of their stretching or yoga videos in the weekend.

It depends on how difficult my schedule at work is. I have a workout plan for the week (similar to yours, hitting every muscle group through the week) but sometimes I come back home and have no energy for working out.

But yeah, I love their work and really appreciate this huge variety of free workouts :)

That's a good strategy, I think maybe I've been too random - I have a bunch of DVDs and my Youtube Favorites list and I just browse one or the other unless I already have one in mind that I want to do. For me, FB is just one 'supplier' of my Youtube list :)

I've thought about branching out to try others, but I haven't felt the need to.

    What are your other favs?

On Youtube, I really like Jessica Smith. She's pretty badass without being annoying about it and has a lot of variety in her videos, from toning to kickboxing to barre to walking. I just started doing some by GymRa, which are good in that they are VERY challenging (burn 400 cals in 30 min kind of challenging) but I have to say they are kinda porn-y (maybe because they shoot them in LA mansions?) which weirds me out a bit. Actually that's not true of all of them, just a couple that I've seen. Also you can find some Jillian and Bob videos.

For DVDs I'm a huge fan of Kelly Coffey-Meyer. Great instructor, great bang for your buck on the videos as well. And Chris Freytag for the same reasons although she doesn't have a lot of videos out.

I don't know why that made me giggle so much, but it did! So thank you!
