Just bought the Charge HR (large) but wondering if small would be better?

I know the lengths are different. I was right on the cusp of small and large so I went with large. I can wear nicely on the second and third holes but there is a big gap on the side of my wrist from the top main part (what do you call that-the stiff, sensory part) sticks out larger than my wrist.

Curious if the small has a small "stiff" part? (haha)

I'm very excited overall, and happy to join this fitbit club.

Thank you to Editorgrrl I think her name was for offering such good advice/help on the forums when asked about fitbits! :)

The screws on the back of my small Charge HR are approximately 1.75 inches apart.

I just received this as a gift. So far I am happy with it and have not had any trouble with the fit. Mine does not have anything sticking out as you describe. I am not sure what that would be on yours.

Unlike a watch, the strap is built in to the Charge HR. We're talking about the non-strap part.

I have a tiny wrist, so that part is slightly bigger than my wrist.

I measured myself with a thing I printed out from the site, and that seemed to show I was between a small and large. I was thinking of buying a large at first, based on the FAQ on the Fitbit site.

Then I talked to a friend (who is about my size) who bought one. She has a small, so I figured I'd get the small too since it was really hard to believe I'd have a "large" wrist (I am generally pretty petite and have pretty small hands and wrists). I am in the 4th to largest spot on the small band! I would've been swimming in the large. The sensor part doesn't stick out over my wrist - it's contained on my wrist itself. I hope that helps.. I'm really glad I went with the small.

I too considered a Large, because I'm 5'9" and although I wouldn't be considered "big boned" (hate that term), I'm not tiny either... But when I tried on a demo Large one at Best Buy, I had to put it on the last hole, and was worried that if I lose anymore weight (which I plan to), it would be way too big. So I got Small, and it fits well. I do have a bit of a gap where the band curves around the wrist, but the sensor sits nice and flat on my wrist, and I'm able to wear it on the third hole in, allowing for adjustment as I lose weight or even if I'm puffier from one day to the next.
