If only it were that easy huh? (referring to the above)
Another windy day here. I'm tired of it. Hope to run later, it will be a hard run out but should be a good run back. Yesterday did Chalean Extreme Push 1. My upper body is really feeling it this morning, a lot of shoulders/biceps/triceps.
My youngest son is doing his last day of a work placement today. He has to do a presentation of what he has done so he was a bit nervous. Hope it goes well, I'll be anxious til he gets home.
Val - can't believe that fever is back! I agree with the others, I would get an appt with the doctor if you haven't already, something doesn't seem right.
sherry - enjoy your no school today! 10K is great! Hope the calves/achilles improve. I do know that feeling!
Marla - glad that you were feeling better yesterday, best of luck today filling those trucks!0 -
Maureli i am sure your son will do fine and be glad when its over!
Woke up early then no going back to sleep thinking about the day!
Already cleaned upstairs bathroom and shut door, same with walkin closet. Sort of cleaning my way out as soon as any room is empty.
Taking a break stomach is queasy, i keep getting post nasal drip, allergies have been bad with dust we are unearthing. I just took claritin. Ginger tea do your work!
You all know what my exercise is today!
I probably won't check in again until we are at hotel tomorrow night. Have a good Thursday and Friday!0 -
Marla - We don't use cable. We have Netflix and then I catch up on my favorite tv shows using their apps on my iPad. It works for us.
I called and made an appointment with my doctor. Problem is that while I've been seeing my obgyn and my endocrinologist regularly...I haven't had a regular doctor visit in years. So I have to be admitted as a new patient and the first appointment they have is July 8. In the meantime, my dad is going to check my lungs, oxygen, and such when I head to their house on Saturday. That said, we think the new fevers were actually caused by my thyroid meds. I wasnt consistent in taking them last week when I had all the high fevers. But I've been taking it consistently now for a few days but it can cause some low grade fevers and migraines while my body recalibrates to the medicine again. Lessons learned: see my doc for regular check ups every year or two, and always take my medication...no matter how crappy I'm feeling!
My temp was normal yesterday and then spiked for about an hour and then dropped back to normal. So, we'll see how things go in this continuing saga.
Tonight I'm going to a dinner theater with my hubby and another couple. It should be fun! They have delicious food, so I'll be saving up some of my calories for that!
Have a great day everyone!0 -
Maureen, hope it goes great for your son!
Marla, hard to believe it's time already! Good luck! I'm sure you'll get plenty of exercise. ;-)
val, I really hope you get some permanent relief soon. Hope you're right that it was just coincidence. Enjoy your evening.
Today was a problem. No school or tutor and threatening skies all day. DH had to come home to do some work and then return to work. During the time he was home I *might* have been able to get to they gym and back (wasn't certain), but the skies absolutely opened up on us. It stormed and poured. Needless to say, I was stuck at home with the kids all day today. This week has also turned into a "diet break", as I've just not been able to stick to my MFP calories. Not completely off the rails, but probably around maintenance. Oh well. Sometimes we need a break. The worst news of the day is that my right calf/achilles wasn't feeling too great at times today--that's without any running. :-/ I'm getting to a loss for what to do about it.
Well, that's it. Buckle up, Friday's around the bend!!!0 -
Sherry I saw my cousin at the store the other day and she's been dealing with calf pain too for about a year. She said it hurt while we were just standing there. Did you try the HR training again? Or is a massage an option?
Good luck Marla!
Val I hope you can start feeling better soon. Fevers & migraines are miserable.
I don't have cable either. I use the free version of Hulu and I have Amazon Prime so I can also stream some shows on that. I have an antenna (looks like a small cutting board) that picks up the local channels.
The Captain's Chair is like the arm rests & back of a chair but it's up higher and has no seat. There are foot rests to the sides to get into place. When you take your feet off you're supporting your weight with your arms & shoulders then can do basically reverse crunches - bend the knees while pulling your legs up to your chest, or you can do straight leg ones, or angled ones (so I'll bend my knees & touch them to the right armrest, then down, then the left armrest, etc.).
Tried the recumbent bike today and my leg didn't like it. Next time will try a spin bike. Boring session with Jason. Hopefully tomorrow morning's is more interesting.0
