Hello! I'm new to the group and so glad to have found it! I'm 5 months and 55 pounds down after vsg! I started at a relatively lower bmi, 36.6, and with my thyroid problems expected to be a slower loser. I'm totally ok with that. Happy with my success so far!

Hi, everyone! Sounds like we have a built in support group. I had RNY on April 21. I lost 30 pounds pre-op and have lost 37 since. Need all the friend I can get who know what I'm going through. Will add you all to my friend list as soon as I figure out how. Val (AKA old dog learning new tricks).0

Much better way to think about it, Trayjay. I managed to friend each of you, and even better, I set up my profile page. Then I set up a Fitbit account and connected it with Trendweight. I didn't realize how helpful technology could be to losing weight. Now I need to actually buy a Fitbit and digital scale. My skills are making a giant comeback.0 -

Oh yes it is Val, I really like my Fitbit. To be honest I was a bit lazy with moving before I got it. There are days now I have to slow down and rest because my calorie intake may not be that much and I can't over do it. It really is motivational. You won't regret the investment. Feel free to add me when you get your Fitbit. Don't get too worried about the scale even when the weight may stay the same because the inches are coming off. We all go through that. I am by no means a pro but if you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll try to answer or direct you to a proper source. Take care.0 -
Trayjay, what is your handle on fitbit? I'd like to add you there if you're interested.0

Hi Val, friend me if you'd like. I am just ahead of you. My RNY was April 1st. I've lost 41 pounds. Dealing with a couple of complications, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat and wish I'd have had surgery years ago.0
