    Good morning!

I hope you will all do the above today! lol I am going in to town today to pick up groceries and do a few things. Going to see if they still have asparagus on sale at Superstore, it is so expensive but so good!

This will quite likely be a rest day for me. Yesterdays run wasn't too bad at all, I had expected the wind to be more than it was.

Going to be just a quickie from me right now, I want to get going and hopefully I'll get back to check in later.

Hey all! Had a great time last night with friends! My hubby and I went to a dinner theater on a double date with friends. I looked up their menu yesterday morning and had already planned out my meal...dessert included. So I managed to stay within my calories for the day and have a treat! :). It was nice to get out without the kids.
I've been getting a 99.5 fer for the afternoon and then it's calming down, and no more migraines. Still gonna wait and see, and my dad is going to check me on Saturday to make sure there's nothing concerning. I'm feeling well enough that Im hoping to spend today reworking my routine now that we're on summer break. My hope is to keep things lighter...not so intense! I also need to clean the bathrooms at some point as they are truly disgusting. I'm hoping to get one done today.
    Have a great day everyone!

Hey! Gym today: back muscle groups. Also had to do some errands today so that was it. But I'm tired and will likely be sore tomorrow! ;). Have a great weekend

Hey again. I read back and saw Laura's post from yesterday. No, massage is not an option, but I do massage my calves sometimes, as needed. I've been giving it some thought. Things were great in the HR training and I need to get back to that, although I can pretty much tell now where I am on the HR scale without the strap...I just don't always pay attn and slow down when I should. It's easier to do that when your wrist is telling you. I can do that for now. Then, I think I'm going to switch to treadmill when I get to USA. I've never run on treadmill, but my dad has one, which would save me a drive everyday (I have to drive to safe running routes because the house is in the country and cars go fast and road is narrow, blind curves etc). Since it'll be hot, etc, the treadmill just makes sense, plus I could use a heavy duty-er one at the gym from time to time. It might give my calves/Achilles a rest from beating the pavement and give me time to get my stride worked out and rebuild some hip strength/endurance to support running. Then August we will be on a mountain island and it will be either boiling hot or "knock you over" windy. Not sure what I'll do, but last year a running community was forming there...so there's hope. That is a very rough plan, but who knows. For now, I'm trying to prevent it from getting to the point where it hurts all the time. Today, by end of day it was fine. Walking instead of running seems to really help.

I'm going to warn you that your stride will be different on the treadmill. Best way I heard it described is to picture that second between strides when neither foot is on the ground. When your front foot lands on the treadmill, the belt starts pulling it backward, which of course doesn't happen on the ground. I had a lot of knee issues when I tried to first treadmill run after only running outside. Just be aware of that when you first start out. It took me some time to adapt to both that and the monotony of it.

I had Jason this morning, then I swam after work. Another super long day, but a good one.
