HI everyone! 29 May I started the Texas Weight loss 30 day package for $100 basically they put me on low carb diet no more than 35g carbs a day 30 min workouts daily the package includes two HCG shots and phentermine for appetite suppressant and increase energy /focus. From yesterday I lost 6 lbs....went from 200 lbs to 194 I'm crazy excited! At 5'7" I've been overweight way too long to the point it's affected my self esteem. My husband said yesterday if he could change one thing about me is to HAVE MORE CONFIDENCE. That hit a nerve.

ALSO, I'm in the military I submitted my packet for a special assignment and was turned down because of my inability to be more motivated about my physical fitness and weight. Ugh! I felt sad at first then I was angry. It's safe to say I have GOOD reasons to want/need to lose weight.

Low carb is the way to go. I don't know that you're going to get much (any) benefit from the HCG shots. And, the phentermine is only going to make it easier to not eat too much, which low-carb does almost automatically for most people. The 6 pounds in a couple days is the initial water weight. It won't last. Don't get frustrated by that. There's no magic about losing weight.

What are your protein and calorie goals? What is your weight loss goal?

Hopefully, at the end of the 30 days, you'll feel confident enough with doing this and your own progress to save $100 and not need to continue the program. You can do this. We're all here doing it (or have already done it).

Good job with the weight loss and the motivation but I'll be completely honest and say in would drop the HCG and the phentermine. You'll lose just fine by doing the low carb high fat and 30 mins of exercise a day :)

I just looked at the website and it mentions Atkins as a 'high protein/low carb' plan. They seem to miss the point that it is really HIGH FAT/medium protein/low carb. The fat component is key to feeling fuller and sticking to the WOE. You won't need appetite suppressant with fats in your meals.
If the diet plan they gave you does not include upping fats, you may find it very difficult to adhere to.
    Good luck and welcome.

Welcome to the group! I've spent a lot of money on weight loss programs, and even surgery, through the years! Learning this woe has changed my life like no other diet, or surgery, has ever changed it before! Wish I'd have learned it years ago! Read everything you can and don't be resistant to the fat intake. It's one of the major players in helping you lose fat and make/keep you unhungry!!
