What am I doing wrong?

Something isn't working for me. I've been at this since January, got my calories up to 2000 and around the end of March early April was down to 143 (goal is 137). May 19 I weighed in at my doctors, a scale I've never weighed on and fully clothed after breakfast and I was 152. I just weighed myself on my usual scale and I'm still 147.

I've opened my dairy if anyone can take a peak and give me an idea of what I'm doing wrong. I know my sugar tends to be over but I've cut back so much compared to 2 years ago when I maintained quite nicely at 137.

I do wonder if part of my problem is hormones. I'm menopausal and it seems that is adding weight to my middle.

My pants are tighter and I'm getting very frustrated and sad that all my working out (which I love and would be doing anyway) and trying to eat decently, isn't helping.

As women, we have to consider lots of things that can cause us to carry water weight. I really don't think you're doing anything wrong because we all will plateau it's just remaining focused and working thru it. I've seen your profile pic so it's obvious that you are doing a lot that's write. If what you're doing wasn't working in the first place then you wouldn't have lost any weight, but YOU ARE LOSING!!!! You are just at a plateau right now!!!!! Keep going because I promise you that you are doing great! Your pic definitely inspires me and let'se know that I can do it as well!!!!

Best wishes to you on your journey!!!!

How has the energy levels been?
Has workout performance kept the same or improved, or gone down? And can't judge that by it feels as hard usually, need something objective like HR readings, or running speed, or weight lifted, ect.

Because stress related water weight retained is usually more localized, but retained water due to improvements from exercise would be spread over all the muscles getting those improvements.
Since recovery is impaired in a diet, and exercising with unrecovered body is just plain stress, wondering if you are gaining stress water weight masking fat loss.

    Any other measurements going down?

My weight hasn't really changed all that much in the past few months, but i can definitely tell the difference in the way i feel and the way my clothes fit! Scale is not a reliable measure of progress!

I would be ok with the scale weight if my pants were lost but they're not. They're tighter and I feel flabby through the middle. I haven't taken any other measurements since I'm sure they're up compared to my last measurements and then I'll feel even worse.

I am lifting heavier in kettlebell. Using the 16 kilo bells more often.

I just wonder about the hormone aspect as I've heard that you gain around the middle during premenapause.
