Good morning/evening!
Looking forward to a day of drinking lots of water again... NOT, lol. And isn't it funny that as soon as I decide no drive thru window food, THAT'S ALL I WANT. Ahhhh... The craziness of the food addict brain. Maybe my next challenge will be the "eat anything" challenge. Take that, reverse psychology!

Today will probably be a bust for exercise again as my sciatic nerves are still being squashed, but I'm going to ask my GP for a muscle relaxant and hit the lake tomorrow when the temp is supposed to reach 80! Then again, today would be a good day to at least get in the water with my water weights and do an arm workout. I'm getting very work out lazy lately, which is odd for me because I love to exercise!

How are you all doing today?

K.

ok Karen, please take this with all the humor that is being intended... are you on crack?? LOL!

How can you even put any toes in the lake right now let alone your whole body? I would think the cold water would make your aches and pains even worse! Doesn't it hurt more to be in the cold water? I would think it would be worse but what do I know? I just know that these old bones would be screaming at me if I tried to go in the lake for even 2 mins!!

I've been around but not here on MFP. For awhile every time I signed in I got some kind of critical error message that just stopped my computer in its tracks. and it only happened when I signed in to MFP. So I have been away for a bit but still plugging away. Trying to get the house all in shape before the kids get out of school next week and then destroy the house for the next 3 months! Oh well, I have time to have a clean clutter free house when they go off to college, so I will deal with the chaos now.

Still working my way towards the 5K walk at the end of July. I will get there! I'm actually following a training schedule and it seems so slow, but hopefully it is doing what I need it to do!

Hope everyone is doing good. Going to go read up on some past posts! Have a good day!

Oh yeah, fabulous Tuesday... I haven't moved yet. Lying in bed like a slug.

To answer your question, Diana, NO, I am not on crack, but if I knew where to get some and knew it would take away this back pain, I would try it, lol!!! Our lake is actually warming up nicely--around 65 degrees right now, I think, and since I grew up playing in the frigid Atlantic, that hardly feels chilly. I love getting in the cold actually, since most of my chronic pain is from joint inflammation from Still's, and the cold gives me a lot of relief. For the sciatic flare up right now, I've been sitting on ice packs for weeks. Jim calls me "igloo butt," Hahahaha!!!

I need to get up and MOVE soon. I tried doing some piriformis stretches earlier, had a good cry, felt sorry for myself for a while, took some vicodin, fell asleep, and dreamed I was a farmer growing blackberries the size of plums.

Well that's pretty much my rambling so far today. I don't have any profound thoughts about losing weight today, although I am definitely here and checking back if anyone needs encouragement.

Well.....I got 40 minutes in on the treadmill this morning...watching Season 3 of Grimm episode!! Love that series!! And today, did pretty good with the food....and came home from work...not sure what i did, but when I looked at the clock it was 6 pm and I had to rush to eat and get all my food down by 6:30pm..and did it!! So day 2 done and successful!!!

I would just go and get in that water Karen!! Water is great on back pain etc....relieves the pressure...so just go for it!!!

Was about 108 F here and the humidity is kicking in. I walk to work in the morning (0630am) only takes about 10 minutes...and any later than that, and it is too hot and humid!!! The month of Ramadan starts next week, so I am sure our census in the hospital will be lower....people tend not to want to come in when they are fasting from sunrise to sunset, especially during the heat. So I tend to get a lot of work done during the month....quiet, no one around to bug me...well not to much anyway!!

Hope you all had a great day!! I am going to bed...if I can't eat after 6:30pm, may as well go to sleep so I am not tempted to eat!!!!

    Cheers!

I have no idea why they posted twice, but I'm glad you got the laugh.

I'm ending day two with a whimper of "no more water! Gahhh!" But.. Challenge done. Not happy as all I want is to have someone hand me food through a window... I don't care what kind. Apparently, then, I picked the right goal for a "challenge" since this is such a struggle. I imagine you are being challenged too, Nancy. You can do it if I can! It's only ten days!

As predicted, today was a bust for me. I honestly thought about just having Jim take me to the ER, and if I thought they would do anything other than give me more painkillers, I would have, but I now have an appt with a neurologist on the 23rd and a prescription for flexeril, so tomorrow's plan is to drug up, ice up, get up, stretch and swim and stretch and swim. I know that staying immobile is the worst thing I can do, so time to suck it up.

On a happy note, Jim stopped at the store on the way home and, instead of buying junk, he brought home the most fabulous ripe plums in the the universe. Nom nom nom.
