Kids and I are heading on a road trip this weekend and I will be stopping at Bulk Barn to get some items for my son who has celiac. What kinds of things would I be able to find there that fit into a keto WOE? Ideas?

OMG, when my kids and I were gluten free we did a major part of our shopping at Bulk Barn and still do go regularly.
If you make grain free baked items for your son, they have many gluten free flours, and almond and other nut meals, nut butters, etc.
Low carb items we regularly buy ( but not since I switched to ZC for now) are: macadamia nuts and other nuts if you eat them, xylitol and stevia, unsweetened chocolate for the odd treat, chia and flax seeds if you use them, pork rinds, nut butters, coconut oil although their prices are higher, coconut milk, hhhmmmm.
I buy different things depending on how I am eating. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. I make the most trips there for pork rinds these days.0 -

Awesome! I cannot find macadamian nuts here so I'll purt those on my list for sure! And probably 3/4 of the stuff you mentioned will go on my list to lol0 -
Well hell wish I'd read this when I was still in the city. Looked at 3 different health food stores for flour & nothing. Forgot all about Bulk Barn. One woman informed me only gelatin u can get is jello at Safeway. Left that store pretty quickly, lol.0

I find that Bulk Barn has the best selection of the gluten free stuff, many items can be used for low carb or keto. When we gave up bread years ago, I used to make my own gluten free baking, and got all those ingredients at Bulk Barn. Chickpea flour I used to mix with a bit of yogourt and egg and make a kind of flatbread with eggs. Flours like arrowroot I used to bake with and thicken sauces. The remains of chickpea and pea flour, sorghum flour, potato starch, flax meal....oh I love quinoa flour...smells like the earth....are in the bottom of my cupboard and the back of my fridge now since we rarely use that stuff anymore. Of course the nut meals are great...almond, pecan meal any kind of nut meal to make cakes or cookies etc. They have the healthy aluminum free baking powder and soda there too. I can find more obscure health food store items in there if I am looking for something special for a recipe.
Our baking now is very basic. A chocolate chip cookie recipe made with almond meal, xylitol, eggs, and a few dark chocolate chips is one of our staples and you can usually find some in my freezer for company or treats. I watch my prices though too, and have about 3 stores to shop in for healthy ingredients. My one daughter still eats gluten free, and Bulk Barn has excellent gluten free oat products, so we usually have some oats in the cupboard too.
When we feel like straying from low carb and have a treat, the only potato chips I buy are at Bulk Barn...they are made with avocado oil, and are just potatoes, avocado oil and salt...can
t remember the brand since I don;t buy them much anymore....something with "Healthy" in it. And the Bulk Barn price is 2 dollars cheaper than the price at the health food store. They are the best chips I've ever tasted. So when I schedule a higher carb day, I might have a few of these.
OK I've strayed far away from keto in my mind. Just take a look around, skip the sugary stuff and look for the good stuff, it's there.0 -
I loooove bulk barn. lots of options for nuts and flowers. Mine also has local made cheese in the back section. I also buy Tamari (soya sauce alternative - soya sauce is made with malt vinegar, which has gluten) and my bulk barn recently started carrying coconut aminos as well.0
