My second round with low carb

Thanks for accepting me into the group. This is my second time with low carb but I'm new to My Fitness Pal.
The first time I did low carb I lost 80 pounds and kept it off for 7 years. Then I quit smoking and didn't plan well. I replaced the cigarettes first with grapes, then with candy and eventually with anything sweet. Over time I regained all the weight I'd lost plus more. I gave up sugar this year for Lent (2/18/15) and within a week had recommitted to low carb. So far I've lost 29 pounds but I still have about 95 to go. I'm hoping to be within 20 pounds of my goal by January 1, 2016 which will be my 10 year anniversary of quitting smoking.
I may not post much at certain times because of my work hours but I do try to read as much as possible.
Oh, and as an introduction, I'm a 56 year old woman with a husband, 6 adult children, 7 grandkids and a full time job working with adolescent females who have suffered various types of emotional and physical trauma.
(Hope an intro is appropriate here. Didn't see anything indicating either way.)

This post actually suggested to me: perhaps it's time for a general "introduction" thread? Many new folks, many old folks, and a bit of tension. Perhaps we should do a new intro thread, or bump the one we have?0

As a new member here, I agree that an intro thread would be nice. I hesitated introducing myself because I didn't know if that was frowned upon. Since I'm here for support, I took a chance.0
