Hi!
202 lbs with joint issues ( lupus) ...very unfit as have had lupus flare up.... Tried day 1 with static and moving stretches...loads of them, but felt a twinge in my hip area. Stopped immediately and have not returned to it. Any advice. Built up to it, over 2 weeks with walking 20 to 40 minutes, increasing speed and in time. Have good running shoes - properly fitted. All thoughts welcome please...

Is check with a doctor, or at least a physical therapist.
I had lots of Achilles pain when I started (from an old sprain), and the running actually helped it a LOT, but it was pretty obvious by my second run or so that it was getting better. I don't think most injuries act like that.0 -
Ta! Drs useless...neither say do run or don't. Physio - will try! Might just continue walking, swimming and reduced calories and retry at less weight!1
