Hey, roasting in Athens. Tweaked my back real bad today and now struggling to sit, stand, walk, or lie down. :-( will be back when I've got better news, hopefully by tomorrow.0

Marla, my sinuses are still really bad too. I got a massage on Saturday and she spent quite a bit of time on my sinuses hoping to loosen them up and even that didn't help.
Sherry you and your body just are not getting along right now! Hope your back starts feeling better soon. I'm marveling about your post from yesterday about the guy who goes to other countries to run races and learns the language first. Maybe he listens to language audiobooks when he does his training runs?
I'm still in a crap mood. I feel sorry for my trainer sometimes that he has to deal with me. I put my Garmin HRM on and was doing step-ups and mentioned to Jason I was surprised that my HR was only 109. About 5 minutes later I was bitching at him about something and he pointed out my HR was 148 -- told him that's because I was yelling at him. Last summer I was able to do 10 push-ups at a time, and was able to do 2-3 sets of them. A few months ago I pointed out to him that I was back to doing push-ups on my knees, so he came up with a strategy where I'm doing push-ups on my own. Every day for that first week I did 1 push-up (on my feet), the second week I did 2 a day, the 3rd week 3 a day, etc. I started on a Tuesday, so every Tuesday I add one more. This morning I did 12. Yesterday when he asked me how my push-ups were going I asked him how he let me get so much weaker in the first place, and that I feel like we've actually made negative progress over the past year. And that's when my HR spiked up 30 bpm.
This morning I maneuvered my bike into the back of my car (it's a hatchback) and after work I'm bringing it into the bike shop to get a tune-up so I can start riding outside. When I bought the bike last year they gave me a card for one free tune-up, and my leg is healed enough that I'm ready to start biking so I might as well make sure my bike is ready too. I also am going to (probably) upgrade the pedals. It came with flat pedals and at the time they recommended I keep those, since it had been 30 years since I had been on a bike, but since I'm bringing it in anyway this seems like a good time to upgrade.0 -
Not a perfect day but not horrible either. Progress I guess. For me it's all about the planning.
Succeeded in confusing self about healthy eating (low cal, low carb) then remembered Laura's words about sustainability. Want to lose weight& keep it removed so sustainability is key.
Going to bed early is my version of sleeping in. Goodnight.0
