10-14 weeks to go and <10lbs to go. I hope I make it. I didn't get to exercise the last tow weeks bc DD has been sick. Well, I got a 3mi hike in once but otherwise nada. This week I will regain my momentum. I'm still eating alright though. Lots of protein and water!0 -
Hey mommas! I'm due August 16 with my first, a baby girl
I just got back to MFP. I was really good about eating healthy and walking in my 1st trimester (luckily I avoided morning sickness... don't hate me!), but the 2nd was rough. I'm 5'6" and have gained 13 lbs so far at 27 weeks.
My goal is to keep total pregnancy gain around 20 lbs, which might be doable if I cut out the junk and up the exercise a little bit.
Please add me if you want to help keep each other accountable. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to chatting with some of you here in the group!
Edited to add: I started at 155, which is about 15 lbs higher than my ideal weight.0 -
Congrats Katy on your first little one!

I have noticed this past week I have exceeded my sodium intake a few times and yesterday morning my wedding ring was so tight I had to take it off. Made it a point not to go over yesterday and today and It is back on my finger today yay. Had I not found MFP two months ago I'd definitely be on track to having another 50lb pregnancy.
Yesterday my 7 year old grabbed my calf, then thigh, then belly, and finally my arm and asked if they would all shrink after I had baby girl.. yikes pressure already on to get rid of weight! My girls' last day of school is today and super happy. Plan on staying busy with them and hopefully it will make pregnancy go by a little faster.

I braved the scale this morning! I'm shocked that I haven't gained that much in the last few weeks.

I've been cutting carbs again, trying to stay under 100g per day. Its tough, mostly because I love fruit so much. I'm planning on a BBQ this weekend with lots of low carb sides and desserts. I found a low carb cheesecake bite dessert I've been making recently. So easy and delicious!0 -

New to the board but starting a serious weight management program as I am 5'4 SW 135-140 and at 26 weeks I am weighing in at a whopping 164. Gah! That is what I was 9 months pg when I delivered my daughter 3 years ago! I was very nauseous and gained a lot in the first tri this time eating carbs ALL THE TIME. Hoping to gain less than 5 more in the 3rd tri.0

Welcome ten!
Had my glucose tolerance test this morning and my doc told me he didn't want me to go over 30 lbs!
Yikes.. Still have 14 more weeks to go and supposed to keep my gain at 9.5 lbs for rest of pregnancy. Hoping that at 28 weekswhen I enter my last trimester my weight gain will slow down a bit. Diet was terrible this past weekend during Memorial holiday, but on top of things... once again.0 -

Looks like we've lost a lot of mommas along the way. Hopefully they're all still on track and just not logging on here. I thought it would be fun to catch up with everybody who's left!
How is your pregnancy going?
What are you having?
Any complications?
I'm having boy #2. I wanted another boy, so I'm super excited!
I'm luckily not having any complications this time. Last time, my blood pressure had already skyrocketed by this point, so I hope I'm skipping that this time .
I definitely have a lot of pubic bone pain which has cut me down to mainly walking for exercise, but I'm ok with that. I've actually seemed to have much more energy this trimester than I did in the 2nd, which has been a nice surprise!0 -
Well I am still here tracking my intake just about everyday! I am having my 4th little girl and we are naming her Haylee Marie We are sooo ready to meet her. Her sister's names are Desiree Isabella, Alyssa Jade, & Paige Alexis.
No complications with this pregnancy. Like you Alyson I am also having pubic bone pain and terrible back pain all the time. Stopped going to the gym over a month ago but try to go for walks when it feels nice outside. Ordered a pregnancy inflatable for pool called Bellyflopz so hopefully once we get pool clean I will be able to get some water exercises in and lounge this summer.
At 27 weeks I am up 20 lbs which I am content with. Looks like Kung Foo panda is living inside me by the way my belly shakes all the time! Next ultrasound is on the 17th of this month, going to try and wait patiently.

Hey there! I'm Katy
Things are going well for me and baby girl. She'll be my first. No real complications, and it's been pretty smooth so far except for some bad pelvic floor pain.
I'm 29 weeks now, and have gained about 15 lbs so far. I'm not distraught about it, but I started out about 15 lbs overweight and set out to gain only 15-20 my entire pregnancy, so I am trying to keep it under control and find a moderate fitness level that suits me. Right now my typical week includes: 1-2 yoga classes, 2 30-minute elliptical sessions with some free weights for arms, 1 long walk (6-8 miles) per week.
It's been tough to keep eating under control, especially at night. I do really well during the day then once dinner hits, I eat too much and my stomach hurts. I guess I'm running out of room in there! Going to try and be better about that since DF is going to be working nights here soon, so I can just keep up my healthy snacking into the evenings instead of making big dinners.0 -
Still logging and tracking - just haven't been posting here. Having baby girl #4, still haven't picked a name (we suck, lol). No complications - passed my 2nd glucose screen (I'm "old" this time and have a family history of type 2 diabetes so I had to take one early on), BP has been terrific. Been working out - 30 min of cardio 5 days a week, plus strength training 3 days a week; I think that's helped me avoid the back pain and insomnia this time around My stats:
SW: 145
4/15: 178
4/27: 183.6
5/4: 184.0 (27 weeks)
5/15: 184.2 (28 weeks)
5/18: 183.6 (29 weeks)
6/6 : 186.0 (32 weeks)
Not great, but I gained between 45-50 lbs with each pregnancy and at this point I'm convinced it really doesn't matter *what* I do, I'm still going to gain that amount. The exercise and healthy eating my not help with the weight gain aspect, but I feel better and am not having the same miserable symptoms this time, so that's what I'm focusing on to stay motivated. The gain has started to slow down pretty good (no more averaging 3 lbs a week, now it's more like 1 lbs a week! that's great news!). Hope to only gain another 5-10 lbs (hopefully closer to 5!). Only 8 weeks to go til my EDD, and 9 weeks until I'll need to be induced, so it seems do-able. Now to figure out a name.... and get a car seat.... lol. Like I said, we suck, lol.0 -

Hi Ladies!
I've just found this board - you're all so brave sharing your pregnancy gains.
I'd love to join. I'm about to tick over 31 weeks and I only have the following to share:
SW: 141
Week 29: 169.7
Gained: 28.7
Now that I've found this, I'll be keeping track a lot more.
I eat really well most days and keep under 1800 calories (usually), but my weight gain is definitely due to lack of exercise. This is bub #3, my work days (including travel) are around 11 hours so my spare time is with the other two and resting! I wish there were more hours in a day - I miss supplements and early morning running!0 -
Welcome and Congratulations laura!
It has been so hot here in Memphis TN this past month I figured I could slack on exercise, stay indoors and make sure I didn't go over my calories and still stay within my recommended weight gain range but the 3 walks I have been on with my family have really helped this past week. Hopefully I can keep it up.
SW: 136
Week 29: 158
Goal: 25-30
total gain: 22 lbs
Had appointment today and ultrasound shows baby girl is weighing exactly 3 lbs and is in the 56 percentile! Makes me feel better about my eating. How much and how long is every ones little angel? Received lots of good pics. Hubby and all my girls got to see baby Haylee with me.
Tlflag I still don't have a car seat or nursery set up. My youngest did pick out the theme of the nursery and my husband being a contractor decided to demolish the room from window to carpet and now it is painted ocean blue. Bought a pink and blue girls ocean crib bedding with cute little fish and octopus. As soon as he puts carpet think I might get decals instead of hand painting wall decor.
Hope everyone and their bumps are doing great!0 -

Total gain of 43 lbs so far, but most of it was earlier on, seem to be doing better in the third trimester. Finally got the car seat. No names yet tho, lol. Baby girl was just over 5lbs at last appt (Wednesday), so looking like another 8-9 lb baby when all is said and done (my others were similarly sized). Everything is looking great as far as fluid levels, fundal height, etc. BP is still awesome (114/60 last visit). In the home stretch looking forward to meeting this little one! Hope everyone else is feeling good and finding ways to beat the summer heat0 -

Total gain of 44.8 lbs. Backed off exercise a bit lately from 30 min, 5 days a week to 25 min 3 times a week (too many Braxton hicks for my comfort during the workout). Have an apt next week, then will be on a weekly schedule after that. Hope everyone is doing well. We're in the final stretch now!0 -

No matter what I do right now, I'm gaining AT LEAST a pound a week. I've kinda said screw it. If I'm gonna gain that much anyway, I might as well eat a few more of the things I want.
I've decided to just try to make as many healthy decisions as possible and let nature take it's course. I'm done fighting the scale right now. Only 4 weeks to go!

Holy cow, it's been quite a while but don't worry, I am still logging in! I've been gaining pretty rapidly, which is normal for this trimester but my eating hasn't been the best so I'm trying to cut down on that. I've had pretty bad junk food cravings that I've been indulging more than I care to admit. Thankfully, my baby girl (first baby)! is measuring right on target for an August 18 due date and my blood pressure is still great (120/75). 5 more weeks to go!

I'm really hoping that a lot of this is bloating, since my feet have been very swollen with this heat. I am back to logging and tracking the best that I can. Work was stressful for the past couple of weeks since we had two major events I had to plan and my boss was on vacation, so I was covering for her. I have to admit it was kind of nice to have a distraction from thinking about pregnancy constantly, but holy stress! Time to focus on healthy eating again. I hope everyone else is doing well.0 -
37w+3d today. Only 3-4 more weeks to go
SW: 145
4/15: 178
4/27: 183.6

7/16: 192.0 (37w 3d)
Total so far 47 lbs - right in line with my other three pregnancies, but this time I gained most of it in the first two trimesters, oddly enough. Everything looks good (measuring right on, BP 102/60, etc) My b-day was a couple days ago and going out to eat (holy sodium!) spiked my weight this week, but I'm down a couple lbs since yesterday and will probably lose another in the next day or two (it's amazing how much longer you retain excess fluids while pregnant!). This will be the first pregnancy where I stayed under 200 lbs tho I'm glad of that (my first I started at 180 and ended at 228; second I started at 170 and ended at 220; third I started at 165 and ended at 218); makes it seem like I'll have less to lose afterward. Still very comfortable and feeling well... will likely be induced 8/10 (7 days past EDD - I went 2 weeks past due with my other three, but being older this time- over 35- waiting that long just isn't advisable).... at least I have an endpoint. Trying to make the most of the time I have left - those babies are much easier to cart around while they are still on the inside!
Stay cool, those of you in places where summer exists Here in Ohio anytime it gets over 75 degrees, it rains But at least it's not sweltering.0 -
Tlflag I don't even weigh myself after I go to a restaurant bc every time I have its about 3-5lb weight gain the following day from all the sodium. It motivates me to stay home and cook most of the time and save eating out for occasions. Its okay we are both on our 4th and know we will get rid of weight once again. I just don't remember ever getting cellulite on my butt and thighs but maybe I just wasn't looking!?0

finally lost the water I was retaining (thx Olive Garden, lol). Back to a total of 45 lbs gained so far. Baby is still growing well, so I take that to mean I am losing weight while she is getting bigger... Nice! Doing the final prep to get ready baby. planning a final date night with hubby this Friday, my middle child starts her summer program to get ready for kindergarten next Monday ( she's getting so big) and I have a pedicure and "foot relaxation treatment" scheduled at the spa next week. Trying to enjoy these last few weeks. Hope everyone else is making the most of them too!
Aleikita - you're braver than me, lol! I stopped looking at my butt many months ago It is amazing how much sodium they put in restaraunt foods tho - it doesn't even taste very salty! I'm with you - I try to eat 90+% of my meals at home.0 -

I have some serious bloating going on. I really hope this gain levels off soon!0 -
Had my baby girl yesterday morning (on her due date!). Fourth daughter, showed up at the hospital at 5 am after contracting all night, was at 10 cm when they checked me and she was born just before 6 am. Getting to be a pro at this, lol. My weight the last time I checked, before baby was born, was 192 lbs. I won't step in the scale for at least a week, just because I know there is a bit of fluid retention still going on. Me and baby are both doing well, and I'm looking forward to getting back into shape! Hope all the August mommas have uneventful ends to their pregnancies, and beautiful, healthy babies! I'll be joining the post partum pack as soon as I'm fully recovered. Hope to "see" some of you there0

Congratulations tlflag1620! I hope to join you soon! Lots of contractions, but they're still pretty random. I'm hoping that they'll become more regular so I can meet my daughter.

Am I the only one still pregnant? 40 weeks a 3 days here, no baby in sight.0
