Fun Challenge ride Themed around the Tour de France

I may be preaching largely to the converted, but I'm currently organising a 3 week cycling challenge over in the Century+ Cycling Group... it's themed around the Tour De France, and consists of 4 teams of 9 riders, each of which are tasked with riding (between the 9 of them) a distance and ascent equal to that days stage of the tour de france.
At the moment, we have 8 vacant slots (well - 2 of them were provisionally booked, but the people haven't replied to confirm details yet, so - well - if they can't be arsed, I'll take someone who's keen instead - after all, if they can't say yes or no within 3 days, what chance do they have of being reliable enough to actually particpate for 3 weeks...)
If you fancy a look at what's involved, have a look at this thread -

- if you're not already a member of the century+ group, then you may have to sign up to post to the thread...

Any quick questions, give me a shout - there's quite a few of the participants of the challenges who are members of this group as well, who'll probably tell tales of what a grumpy sod I am, but they keep coming back for the challenges (this is at least the 3rd year of them so far - covering the Giro d'Italia, TdF and LaVuelta) - and if you're interested please express your interest in the thread linked above as soon as possible.
Thanks all...

I'd join in, but my rides varies a lot each week and is inversely proportions to workload and family stuff. So I'd feel bad if the TDF coincided with a bad week (or three) for me, from a time in the saddle perspective. Thanks for the heads up though!0

right folks - we've got 6 - yep SIX places left. I've provisionally allocated the current riders to teams in a fairly balanced way I think, so that even if we don't get any more riders, we've got 2 teams of 7 and 2 of eight, but I've tried to use my judgement and prior experience of everyones historic riding patterns in prior challenges to balance things out even with the numeric discrepancy... Next two riders will be added into the mix to the 7-strong teams, then finally we'll add any others by choosing teams using my best mk.1 guesswork...0
